I just bought some parts from dealercostparts.com (same as cyclepartsnation). Saved enough on a few items that I picked up the 10" riser for close to the same total as I would have paid at the stealership here without the riser.
Here are the online prices (US Dollars):

When I use the Parts Fiche that is on the ski-doo website, the parts there are the original parts that were put on the machines, but there are no indications of any updated or replacement parts. If I look at a parts fiche from a place like snowcity.com, it shows the updated parts, and then the...
The technology 10 years ago had all of the manufacturers relatively even at 120hp/144"track, so everybody was used to being limited to smaller terrain challenges, unless you modded your sled. Now, the technology has increased enough that most guys are not used to being limited to the terrain...
Teeroy, have you looked at doing an RK Tek drop in kit? Keeps you at 800cc, but claims 12hp gain with custom pistons and a new head... I wonder if the ECM reprogram boosts that number at all? I wonder if this kit would offer more bang for buck than an 860 or 880?
I have had the HTC Legend for a while now. It is great, not as big or powerful as the desire, but easier to put in the pocket, and more durable with the aluminum body. No 2.2 yet though.... I just got the wife the desire around new years. Very impressed with it as well. Android 2.2 on that...
To get the magneto off the crankshaft, do I need the ski-doo magneto puller like the service manual says? As well, the black silicone that holds the trigger coils to the magneto housing, can I use RTV (loctite 5910 is a type of RTV silicone according to the datasheet).
Here's a pic. It frayed right at the oil pump (bare wire from the mount to the pump). It is not connected to the oil pump right now, as I have to replace the crank...
My biggest frustration is that this is at 2500km, not miles. I had venting right away, and clutch mods to reduce belt heat. Have only gone through 2 belts. I'm surprised to see the isoflex gone so early. I will be checking it religiously when I get it back together. The day before the...
I just took the plate and seal off the crank side bearing and this is what I saw..... Just another PTO Crank Bearing Failure  :realmad: Zero Isoflex grease, a bunch of metal shavings, and mangled bearing balls. I had to use a bolt extractor on 2 of the allen key bolts that hold the plate...
2 places have quoted me full list price on the short block ($2374.99) + core ($700). One @ 8hrs - $110/hr, and another at 7hrs - $89/hr to install. I asked the cheaper one if there would be any less time if I already had the old block stripped, and they squirmed a bit and wouldn't make any...
I pulled the 3 yellow's, not the red and black, as per the service manual. You would definitely have to mark which one was which if you pull the red and black.
