Yeah figure that.. doo has a repair kit for the stud, i guess it is a known problem. The coolant line leaking was my give away as well.I got all the parts on already. brace, 09 tower and the replacement stud. I also extended the coolant line a little for some better access to the valve. Took my...
I had trouble getting the secondary out tonight but it finally came and this is what i found. The stud for the secondary tower was pulled out of its socket. Engine stopper is in place and not broken. I will remove the motor mounts that i can to ensure they did not delaminate. The secondary tower...
Yeah something isn't right, I bought a new sliding sheave on the primary as well as a rebuild kit. And along with a secondary clutch. When I get time I'll investigate the clutches and motor mounts. I'm thinking something must've broke that I can't see or something of that manner. I will get...
Thats one of the things i checked.. no visible breaks or damage, put a pry bar under the motor and pryed with very little movement. I just cant figure out what i did wrong.
hey guys, 08 xp 800r , recently replaced the top end, removed the complete motor to do the job. originally i had the gov cup in the primary go bad and broke a motor mount bolt causing the primary and secondary to hit each other wrecking their faces on the outer sheaves all that on top of a blow...
What would cause it to I lean like that? Vac leak? I have zero mods other than a can. I did however at the end of last year have the intake screen rip while in revy. And the same trip had a spark plug come loose ( yeah I dunno how that happened) while riding and it was that cyls spark plug I'm...
08 summit 800. Fired it up today warmed it up good and went about a mile and she stopped dead, managed to get it home squeaked the mag side piston. I'm wondering if now I should be worried about the bottom end. 1600 miles on the sled, always used good oil etc.
the cyl is gonna need a resleeve...
I have a cognito levelling kit with new upper a arms in my duramax, rides about the same as stock and IMO it's the proper way to level a truck. I also bought new longer shocks instead of using hokey shock extenders. If you pay attention to the distance of the bump stops you get the idea of where...
I never took the bushing out nor did I try. It seems the bushing socket if you will is warped. How large is the bushing and does it protrude on the face of the sheave?
The sheave on the small end is warped looking at it. I believe I'm gonna need a new sheave. I just want toile sure that if I add a new sliding sheave will it throw the balance between it and the old parts ( fixed sheave and gov cup ) seems to me that the bushing came out. I'll get pictures...
Was riding my 2008 skidoo summit 800 with djs clutch kit today felt a wicked vibration and wouldn't rev over 6500. Had to limp it home, pulled it apart the bushing on the sliding sheeve is popped out and the end is hooped. The rollers were just replaced 200 km ago. They are hooped, one froze...
