Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I believe it is never to late, if you are a grooming club.

Official Cataract Creek Snowmobile Area Thread for 2018/19 season

I refuse to believe that, at this point of this winter, there is not enough snow to have a decent day out at Cataract. I have been hearing of people going out there the last 4 weekends, and other than no grooming yet to be able to be started, it sounds like to me that you can get out from the...

Today probably would have been the warmest to go to Cataract. Temps look to drop again below -20 again, for the next few days.

A little birdie told me that he was out at the Cataract Creek parking lot going for a ride yesterday/Saturday, and it was only -12'ish. Snow is still a little thin, but better in the last week. Said there was a number of people out sledding on the trails.

Snow level still looks bad currently, as we head into the weekend. Highwood House weather station (6 kms. north of Etherington) has recorded 0 snow in the last 10 days, and the graph below is for Lost Creek station, south of the very south of the trails/Snow Vehicle P.L.U.Z. (very low total...

The above information is found here: http://agriculture.alberta.ca/acis/alberta-weather-data-viewer.jsp All stations I am looking at between Cataract and to Crownest Pass show snow mainly falling on Dec. 1, with some of the stations showing a bit more on the 2nd, and 3rd. Looks to be way more...

Elderado, BC and AB are polar opposites when it comes to snowmobile recreation and charging trail fees on Public Land. AB does not allow for it, so it is all donated money and club fees/ASA voluntary Trail Passes that raise the money.

I am thinking that I may be bad luck to ride with.............. Not my sled either time. This time it was a rental sled my buddy’s son did in, coming out of a washout with big powder, but not enough - apparently. He had jumped a Summit off of a ledge about 4 feet down into 4-5 feet of powder...
