I just noticed in the 2024 Doo catalog that the Edge comes with the 34”, my 23 was 36” I changed the A arms to the 34”.Was curious if specs are correct?
The wheelie king sleds is not a new thing, seen a few Mod Sleds with power close to factory turbo‘s sleds 25 yrs ago.The big difference now is short tunnel and the desire to get video for all the social media. Some videos look like it’s staged for the camera, some of the vertical stuff that...
Yes went east from lodge, some BIG COUNTRY there.Got to see about 15 acres fracture beneath me and resembled cottage cheese. That didn’t last long as I hit a 3’ staucwall full throttle few seconds after deployment and was unconscious for the rest of the ride.
The slide I was in deployed the bag half way down and ended up near the toe of slide when everything stopped.April 12/2008 30km west of Columbia Icefield.
Yes the Gen 4&5 are the same,a friend kept his 18 summit X and switched it to his 23 Expert. My hop over‘s aren’t as aggressive as they once were lol! On occasion I will switch sleds with one of the guys for the ride out, they enjoy riding on the “Couch” and ride there “Bread Loaf” back to the truck🤓
Haven’t done day trips for decades now, usually 3-5 day rides trips.
On my 23 Edge narrowed the handle bars 3” and installed seat from my 19 summit X,did not care for the bread loaf seat that came with it.I sit more on the trail now that I’m getting older, especially on the long treks when trail...
I ride with a young guy who had a 2017,engine failed at 67 km full warranty complete drop in.At 2700 km same thing full warranty complete drop in,he was really impressed with belt life as he was on original belt.
Rode in the trees for over 30 years,it’s so rewarding when you gain enough elevation what’s up top.Had the pleasure to ride with a handful of guys to lay first tracks on a few mountains in the Valemount area 🤓
I hope your condition improves Ron,those days of drive and ride are long gone for me.I do leave early around 5 am when go to Seymour it’s nearly a 1000 km from my farm.We usually ride for 5 days on those trips
That’s funny,Ive rode quite a few of those.Signage should go up at every riding area,
Do Not Enter without Turbo🙂
I may sound like the History Channel but here it goes.Jimmy Kuster( may he RIP) was riding in in Westridge 30 years ago on his wife’s 340 Indy Lite with big paddles and came across...
Still ride with a few of the same guys from 1986-1993 but quite a few don’t ride anymore.I try to get 20 days in the mountains each winter,a lot of us travel alone or maybe 2 guys in a truck.I never thought back then I would travel a 1000 km to go sledding.
Got 700i 2 years ago very nice unit but not for snowmobiling unless in heated compartment -6c it shuts off in powered gradle.A friend has went through 2 700’s,very disappointed in Garmin product.
I had great success running a Mod 488 Fan Cooled ( don’t laugh that thing seen some amazing country) from 1993-2004 that Jim Kuster ported, had high compression, over sized carbs and ran premix race gas.It was only on a rope once in that time which was my own fault. On one occasion I held it full...
These are young guys in good shape, they thought they would perform close to aftermarket turbo’s but fell short.Different power deliver between turbo&N/A with each excelling in different types of terrain and conditions.
