We are lucky in Fernie as the cabins are on our grooming route. But I never leave a thing at any of the cabins I go to. as a matter of fact I always get back to the truck with some trash I find on the trail out. How hard is it to stop and toss a can, a blown belt in your bag, that someone else...

The Guides Hut (250-423-3650) rents Avy gear, Bags, Probs, beacons, shovels... I think gear hub does as well. For rental sleds we deal with Ghost Rider Motor sports (250-423-9251). Hope you have a great time.

We recommend Park Place Lodge, it has everything you need (restraint, beer store, pub, hot tub...and there is room for the larger trailers. Our clients have seemed to be very happy with the service as well, and book back there when coming back again. hope you have a good stay in Fernie.

We have never ridden with them before and its under new ownership this year. Sounds like they have their stuff together and would be a great time out. I would consider a longer ride if your up to it, we generally have our clients out for about 6 hours depending on rider ability and snow...

50cm fresh in the last 48 or so so its been great ridding the last 2 days.. should be good all week. temps are a bit cold though.

toss a pair of wider skis, on the front and it should stop it from diving like that. This type of sled seems to be on of the best options that I can see.

We go out as a group of 2 often. Lots I times and more then that is difficult when we are scouting new ground. I really proffer 3 and no more then 8 if we can.

Yep anyone that steals something as important as a sled should get a minimum of 5 years... People don't realize that they really are messing with our quality of life.

We do a ladies clinic every month through the winter.

I think the 2.6 pc is one of the best, if not the best track you can buy.

We seen it last year in Fernie as well.
