It's the old catch 22..... my son just sold his truck and car to upgrade to a single vehicle and even though he got good money for the ones he sold it's proving tough to find a real good low km car for under $8k or at least what I think should be a good car for that price.
Our place at Wabamun lake shook pretty good. I thought something hit the house. Told the wife about it when she got home and she found the news report on FB
Rav-4 is an excellent commuter vehicle. I've never owned one but know others that have and have nothing but praise. I'd still put studded tires even with 4x4 or AWD. I just picked up studded hakkapilitas for my tundra, it's 4x4 and will go anywhere but the studs are awesome for stopping and...
There are as many opinions as models.... I LOVE the 4-runners but theyare $$$ and not great for daily commuter.
Rav-4 & CRV are great on fuel for an SUV (if you can call them that) and very reliable but small. I like Suzuki's the Grande Vitara is cheap and reliable.
Other options are AWD...
Time change or not it won't matter much in the Summer and Winter - Summer time it's getting light at 3:30 and does not get dark until midnight, winter it's dark from 4:30pm to 8:30am so one hour either way really makes no difference. it's the spring & fall that it will ne noticed more - I...
Trican is up 166% over the past year and has done me well. Likely still has some room to grow.
Calfrac has been kicked in the nuts, suffered a major reverse split and attempted hostile take over and is down 98% over the past 3 years. The fact that they have remained intact and continue to move...
Facebook took a pretty good hit today also... not a 50% drop but 5.5% drop so far with a lot of bad press and the services down. I'd be willing to bet that a $325 buy today will be a $345 sell by the end of this week.
Blood.... or rather oil in the water.
Spill or no spill if it was worth $5.50 last week it's probably still worth $5.50 today..... but you can buy it for $3...
Yota reliability is not a wives- tale from the 90's my 2011 4runner was flawless for 240K km and so far my Tunda has required $2700 in maintenance over 2.5 years and 100k km - even then it was brake calipers/rotors/pads and had I caught the problem earlier would have been less than 1/2 the cost...
I sure wish Toyota would bring out an HD or 3500 version of the Tundra. I love mine but I fear moving away from the trusty 5.7L V8 for a twin turbo V6 will impact the reliability and lifespan.
I had an order fill this morning for 10K CMC shares @ $0.24 sitting at $0.37 right now so I'm up $1300..... But I know based on past experience if I were to sell right now it would hit $0.50 by close today so I'll keep $0.24 as my entry and let it ride.
We will be at their mercy and the Edmonton mask mandate is in place until December 31 OR until cases fall below 100/100000 for 10 consecutive days.... The only way masks will not be required is if the ASA applies for an exemption based on proof of vaccination OR negative test within 48 hours...
Problem is a $50K fine is a drop in the bucket when the violation netted you millions in future benefits...
Ethics violations should result in loss of position and criminal charges if warranted - racketeering, fraud, laundering etc..... A fine is not good enough, no matter the cost, that is BS
