My experience is, that as long as the source is the same size or smaller than your battery, boosting is no problem. I damaged an EarthX Lithium Ion battery, getting boosted from a full size vehicle. Oooops. Portable power packs should cause no harm. Also a tip, Lithium batteries also lose...

If you have no back up kicker , then a Charge pack is a good idea. I purchased a Earth X lithium battery last season, and am really pleased with it . Works great in the cold, as my fuel line froze last weekend in Valemount, and still had lots of cranking power until I got it going . Had to use...

Agreed. Use USPS whenever possible. It may take a little longer, but the lack of grief and fees is worth it . UPS gouges on duty/brokerage.
