I think I am just going to buy a 4800watt construction heater from ctire or the home-depot. I re-measured my garage and its only 18.5' wide by 21' long (weird size??) So thats only about 388 sq feet, those 4800 watt heaters are good to 500sq ft, based on what Ive read. My garage also sits...

You need a chimney kit for kerosene heater? can't see it, provided its just a floor model. There at ctire for $265 75,000 BTU, good to 1200 sqf, so it says online.

You could have an electrical short, check connections. This happened to me.
