My track is racking up the KM's so what are some good options in the 162-165 range for a replacement track? Or is staying with the factory track the best for these sleds? Changing drivers is an option if needed.
You think the G5 track would hold up the the torque from the Sidewinder without folding the paddles? I am in need of a new track and looking at options other than stock if there is gains to be had.
Most of the people I work with that dont live in their home country either live in Spain or Thailand. Spain seems like a good option and one I have considered. I work with some Croatians and cost of housing over there has gone up 30-40% in the past few years, looks really nice though, mountains...
Thought about the brake rotor, rear skid arm is a Baker setup so already chromoly, good idea to redo the front one though. Track shaft I am not sure if its worth it with the torque of the 4 stroke, might cause some headaches.
Ya just stock turbo woth a tune. If I could get a MCX stage 3 with just the turbo, fuel and tuning I think about going bigger. But sadly not an option.
I built them to be equal length and short run to increase low end throttle response. I dont think I tried a stock setup Sidewinder last season, so hard to compare after a summer of no ridding. My buddy who had a tuned Sidewinder gave mine a go for a bit and said it was quite a different animal...
Whole list of things. Move the turbo behind the engine so compete new manifomd setup, which turned into making a new fuel tank. All of which were lighter than stock. Exhaust, battery, seat, intercooler setup, belt drive and intake where all redone. Left to do is steering post and lower a-arms.
Finally got around to weighing the Sidewinder after last years build. Few things to do to it still and hopefully shave a few more pounds off but pretty happy with the numbers. Fuel tank wasnt full in the first pic so ran to grab some fuel and topped it off for a final number. Thats full of...
Im not running the stock air but I ran both those lines to the bottom of the sled so they are no longer in the intake. Same with my roll over valve as well.
I think cerakote is like a couple thou.
I did all sorts; brake calipers, brake reservoirs, engine covers, rear shock linkages... Since I did it for looks only I left the inside of the parts the factory coating.
