My buddies kids have been rocking those gloves for 3 seasons now with no issues. They were just on sale last week so I ended up grabbing a pair for myself and the mrs.
The family loop is safe, up the forestry road then across a dam and back down through some single track trail. Nice little cabin up there as well.
Upper Westridge can be access from family loop so that would be the area you are reading about.
Any reviews on the kmod? I have a project for over the summer and unsure what to do for the rear skid. I have the racers edge now and potentially transfer that over but for I like the adjustability of the kmod for the different aspects of riding.
Cat needs to be smart with their pricing if they want to attract people other than loyal customers. Price them to high and they will price themselves out of a market they are barely in.

They have a few options; boost, 9R, 146, 155, 165,...
-45 at the house this morning and felt like -56 with the wind chill according to the wife. -50 overnight on Saturday according to environment Canada. Good timing to be working in the Gulf and missing that weather.
I think its more user error. People ripping down groomed trails in freezing temps on a tall lug isn't great for any track. Im going to assume thats where majority of the problems start, then they just blame a crappy track when it lets go in the alpine.
Id put that the 858 is competitive to the Doo 850 and the Poo 9R. Cat has always done a good job getting the power to the ground, wasn't is an Alpha that beat Muskoka's 22 turbo do in a lake race?
I was concerned about that as well, but they also classified the Sidewinder as a 180hp class sled and it came out of the crate over 200hp. So that is my hope and im sticking with it.
Easy enough to twin rail yourself, but I get what you are saying. They should at least have the option for the consumer, or offer a Hardcore edition again with the twin rail.
