As per title my uncle has a 1980 tx 440 free air that he is in the middle
of doing a full engine build for. His primary is the closed basket type, and
need's repair.
Question, I have read several threads on vintage sled's.com regarding
switching it over to a P-85, trouble seem's to be polaris...
I've been avoiding some of the sagging fascia tin on the garage for awhile now, decided to get at it
and get it fixed. Fascia board on west side of garage was rotten to the bone, FYI, same roofer as house
did the garage in 2009. There are 3 reasons why the fascia is rotten and I had to remove...
So, the only way you can argue with the number's is to compare the USA to third world countries?
American police are trained from day one to shoot to kill if they feel they could be in danger. And the
citizen death toll draw's a pretty clear picture.
Guy shot to death in his car FYI was not a...
Number's are from Washington post,The Guardian and other places.580 people so far this year, 2015= 1208,2014= 1111, prior to that numbers are not accurate or kept track by anyone.Since 2005 Washington post say's approx 1000 per year, so that's approx 11,000 people shot and killed.Since 2005 65...
Video camera's have been in the hand's of the general public for a fairly short amount of time and youtube prob.
has thousand's of bystander made video's of brutality and even death's of people from power crazy police. And
you have to keep in mind only a VERY VERY small amount of...
Police in the states shoot and kill unarmed people every single day , only a
matter of time before some people start getting fed up with it. Didn't police kill 2 unarmed
guy's day before yesterday?
Not trying to be a D*ck, just sayin.
99% of cop's that kill unarmed people walk away without...
Ive done that way and other times put flat tip in soldering iron and lightly melted material
back together(quad plastics). And also used both way's together. Worked for me.
If you guy's like my previous posted pic's I should go into attic and take a pic. of roof vents.
They are approx. 2/3 over the hole that is in the plywood. Apparently tape measures are too
high tech. for this guy to operate.
Anyone have access to a 2010 National Builder's Ass. Book? I...
Some more pic.s to more easily explain why this guy is a F'n idiot. This guy is a full time roofer,
he does this for a living.Could you imagine how many houses in Lloyd he has f'd up.
I had a home inspector here the other day, he took pic's of every mistake/ f' up. He wrote me a report
of why...
These guy's are running as fast as they can go with no helmet's.
OMG there must be multiple casualties at this event with no helmet law to save them
(according to the helmet law thread) LOL........................................................
:smiliestirthepot:
I thought maybe he had some lackie's working that day and since he is the owner, he would inspect the work
and admit some repair's need to be done.I looked up under the starter strip and seen the felt butt's up to the
roof edge trim but does not overlap it.This is 100% not up to code,the...
Contractor was here today and said there is nothing wrong with the sewer stack boot or the way it was installed.
He also said there is nothing wrong with the exposed nail's between the row's."it's normal and happen's all of the time"
The only thing he is prepared to do is install a drip edge to...
SS-2.4.3 DRIP EDGE FLASHING.1Pre-finished or galvanized sheet metal drip edge flashing shall be installed along roof eaves and rakes. The vertical flange shall be spaced a minimum distance of 6 mm (1/4”) from the fascia face. The deck flange shall extend a minimum distance of 75 mm (3”) on to...
Thank's for the input guy's,A call will be made to the guy tom.and see where it goes from there.
If you shingle a roof from the bottom up, I don't understand how you can remove the bottom 2 or 3 row's
/slide them all down a tad/then renail? Wouldn't you have to have to fold the above row up to...
Its a separate issue, but here is some of the other work im not
impressed with
There is about a dozen or so places nail's are exposed like this.
This vent boot is the original from when the house was built in 73
The last 2 roofer's just reused it.I'm sure when the shingles were done
in the...

Something like this, but 2" tall is too much. But with a job site saw, it could be made to work.
I dont know what the pitch is.But anyone had an idea as to how the problem can be
solved now? IMO it's his problem to fix,not mine.I'm going to try to get in touch with a building inspector and find out what some of the codes are. (as far as shingle overhang, drip edge and that fibre cloth stuff...
