    Alpha aluminum trackshaft/Sidewinder steel trackshaft

I can’t fully confirm on the ascender 2 stroke chassis, but the track shaft is the same between the proclimb 2 stroke and the proclimb 4 stroke / King Cat in the ascender chassis...

    Fuel tank fabricator

Rocky ( the fabricator who made the tanks for GeeGee racing), has set up his own shop, makes some amazing stuff. I’ve had good results from him for a reasonable price. His shop is called Redline Fab, number is 780-955-9552 Shop is in Nisku.

    Condolences to family and friends.

    Trailer Rock Guards

I’m not a fan of the brush style, only because snow /slush/mud sticks to them, wrecked a few sets over the years. The best I’ve used (and currently own) is a product called Rockstar. Great coverage, fits both styles of receivers, too. Only thing I would improve is adding a wear strip between the...

countdown till ucp has majority government in alberta

Watching the crap on Global, and honestly can’t figure out what the hell Edmonton voters were thinking - honestly thought Edmonton was an oil town and not a bunch of socialists. Super glad that UCP won. Hopefully The new government’s 1st action isn’t to hand out raises to themselves, I’d rather...

    if your voting ndp

If you’re voting NDP, you should consider that using the paper ballot is harmful to the enviornment ( burning of fossil fuels to manufacture it, the cutting down of the trees, etc). Also, you should stop using fossil fuels, so perhaps make a pair of sandals and start walking everywhere. Maybe...

Steepest angle a sled can climb?

He’s still riding recreationally, and building 911? big bores and clutch kits for the Gen 4. Actually think he has an ad on kijiji for the big bore kit. Very talented rider, all around good guy and a great ambassador to our sport.

Steepest angle a sled can climb?

I believe Bob Micku (buck lake bob) climbed turbo in the 90’s on a Forumula 583 with a plastic paddle track. I didn’t witness it personally, but I believe it.

    Crossfire 1000 electric start?

The CF and the M series are essentially the same chassis, so if the F chassis starts fits the M, it will fit the CF. I don’t think the F and M-series chassis are remotely close, including the harness. Engine is the same though.

What ECU reflash have you tried for the M9000?

Running straight 100LL, claimed 285hp. Bear in mind that is a larger turbo, fuel pump, exhaust, and inter cooler fan to keep charge temps down. It worked very well, would stomp my 998 with stage 4. @ 240 hp

What ECU reflash have you tried for the M9000?

Although I’ve not ran just a tune, the EVO Big Chute Turbo I ran was flawless and performed well. I know a couple guys that ran the 215 flash and liked it as well. I’ve ridden an 1100T with a speedwerx flash that did ok too. There is a lot of claims out there with big numbers, but if I was...

What ECU reflash have you tried for the M9000?

Are you asking about the 2012-2016 1100T, or the 17-up 998 Yamaha engine?

    Track Length?

For a machine that will be mostly used in Alberta, you’ll want 150 ish track, with 2-2.5” lugs. Thinks Polaris SKS, Renegade, High country, these will be your best choices. They have more cooler surface area, a slightly wider front end for stability. New mountain sleds have become specialized...

    Future of snowmobiling

Cost is definitely a factor. Perception is also a part of it. Out economy is in the toilet, our political system is more about serving their own inerests rather then serving the people as a whole. As a sledding community, we are also at fault. How many times has someone asked what sled to buy on...

    2020 sleds

I’d be surprised if Cat released an 850cc or bigger machine, but I suppose it’s possible. They’d be better off firing the entire marketing department, and hiring a group that actually knows what they are supposed to be selling. Good on Doo for coming out with further refinements to the G4...

    Can bad knees end riding?

I ride both a snowbike and a boosted King Cat (Sidewinder). I need both knees replaced, have had surgery twice on my left knee. Done the pills and various painkillers, nothing seems to help. All I can suggest is keep at it. “ you don’t stop doing stuff cause you get old, you get old cause you...

    Primary Drive Belts...

I had good luck with the Dayco XTX5045 belt, but only after I aligned everything on my 1100T. That said start by checking your center to center, some were a bit long (should be 11.5”). Ultimax makes a slightly longer belt (XS809 I think) that lots of guys have had luck with. Feel free to PM me...

    Fox float 3.0 questions.

If you purchase a QSL shock, you will also require a longer transfer rod. They are not expensive, about $35. I have a new QSL shock and rod (never ridden as I have a Kmod rear skid) I might part with, would sell the pair for $525
