Yes the track wrap is even worse on the snow becouse the bottom side of the track is the slack side the top is the tight side because of the pull of the drivers. On hard packed snow you can see the track wrap or slack on a sled traveling beside you. Yes vertical wall was over stated but 5...
The brand of sled has a big effect on when to gear down or up. Poo seems to work better at or near overdrive but Doo has a dislike for overdive. I gear my Doo just to stay just out of overdrive in the conditions that I am tuning for. You will spend a LOT of time clutch tuning to get it right...
I think that running a track very loose is a bad thing becuse of track wrap. If you run your sled on a lift and pin it you will see the track wrap the drivers will pull the track up to the front of the slide rails. Just think what this will do to your attack angle can you say verticial wall...
The best way to get the sled runing great is my tried and true method. Keep leaning it out till you get a coating of Aluminum on spark plug replace melted part or parts then jet up one stage two stages if you are a chicken works every time but can get a little pricey.:nono::beer: While its apart...
Why would I leave the yard, 5 lb trout, 10 lb+ carp and never far from the scotch and beer besides it dirty on the other side of the fence. Snow is clean and fast. Come on Ron you know you want to put sledding on top;) don't let political correct rule your days some one has to be tough:eek:
Yes Sledderglen its time to clean up this site and put sledding where it belongs #1. I just can't get into a sport that requires more time cleaning than riding :d
I think that I'm riding a time bomb. Do you think that I will get warranty becouse I'm running a 2.5, 3 pitch track on the stock 2.86 drivers if BRP does not recall after Dec. its on my $$$. In the past BRP has always stood behind every one of my sleds even the 93 Mach Z. You would think that...
Stewart must be an ancient Indian word that means bring more gas. It is cool to tell people that we drove through Alaska to get to where we sled. Snow was a stones throw from where we unloaded the trail up was groomed and only 7 Km. to alpine. It is hard to describe how large the area is, the...
SWAT we are heading to Stewart on thursday but are stopping at Smithers to see about conditions there. All it would take is a bit of bad Stewart weather and mic.- onion here we come. Your area is great and we will return with more people next season. To all the people that think it is to...
Yes we are going to Stewart May long. We got spoiled at Smithers and heard that Stewart is better so we are off to ride the best :D Where is a good place to stay. I will bring my fly rod just incase of some down time ( that ticking time bomb XP drive shaft ) Fly fishing is the second best...
I hear that is easier to find true love than sunsine in Stewart every day that we where in Smithers with sun Stewart was snowing It might be a better spring ride.
The trick to keeping yellow clean is to spray tire shine on the clean yellow panels after this even tree sap is easy to remove. Stay Yellow don't go to the dark side. Yes this works for black panels and it gives them a bit of a shine once you try this you will doo it forever.
The sledding in Smithers is second to none we had a blast. We rode dome for the two days that where cloudy you just have to love all the meadows and the insane climbs in the trees the creeks suck and don't trust the lakes they really suck. Rode Onion one day in the sun and had a blast lots of...
