There was at least two groups that made it up after a few tries. Pretty much bottomless up top: they played in the meadows before first bowl bcz it was just too deep!

We won't be riding until the 24th as my husband is away at work. I am waiting for playdate of the season with my husband, even tho our friends are prolly headed out this weekend... It's only fair! If you are around on the 24th you are welcome to join us :)

The site says it is refreshed every minute, but when I checked it was four hours behind so.... I dunno!!! Updates from friends who Sledded there this weekend estimate 3-4 feet of fluffy stuff with no base and lots of open water holes to fall into :)

Stolen from Facebook... I am waiting too: not really into bashing my sled on the first trip out. Reports from Yanks Peak (Wells) say 3-4 feet with no real base so that will likely be where we ride first ;)

There was a group sledding up there this weekend. I would say from pics that there is about a foot to foot and a half in most places. They had bluebird skies and fluffy powder tho!!

This morning...

I really enjoyed the film. I thought the cinematography and editing was really good, the riding was jaw dropping (not surprising), music selection was fantastic, and it was interesting to see the Terrace/Kitimat footage and the rivalry between the "old guy and the young punk." It didn't come...

The fact that competition exists between the brands is what keeps each and every brand getting better. They all have good years and bad years, but the constant improvements and comparisons is what keeps every one of us going further and enjoying more advanced machines with greater power...

Also, you will need a good backpack to carry your new expensive toys: the tunnel of your sled is not an option :). I use the padded guts of a Dakine Mission Camera backpack inside my avy pack for my stuff...

The Nikon versus Canon thing is like Ford versus Chev... Depends who you talk to! The D3100 is a great camera and is more than capable for sledding. The bigger issue, as mentioned before is lenses: you are going to want a good wide angle lens and an even better zoom in the 70-300mm range...

How am I doing? Also... A must for Polaris owners: get a compression test before the warranty is up!!
