I bought a Powderkeg at the snow show in saskatoon last fall. Was more $$$ than I thought it would be but got lucky and won the draw to get half my money back. Love the thing, all the heavy crap out of my pack. I had to find more stuff to put in it just so it would be full.
To anyone that is...
I would go with the 06 as well. I have over 3000 miles on mine and still running strong. Just fixed my 07 with 2500 miles on it, crank bearings. In my opinion the Rev chassis is better than the XP in the 08 as well.
You will have a blast and wonder why you didn't get a sled years ago.
I am always looking back when we are sledding, common practice. Few years ago I was last in a group of three and my chain broke. It was -27C, I had enought time to pull off my chaincase and build a fire before they noticed I was missing, was almost dark.
I am sure most farmers would never put up something to purposely hurt a sledder. But when you are putting up fence in the summer the last thing you are thinking of is sledders in the winter. As far as the wire across the creek, could have been there to send power across to another pasture...
Goodyear Silent Armor. Best tire I have ever had, especially in winter. Liked them so much i put on a new set this spring. Not loud, look ok, have amazing traction when turning. Old one's were pretty worn out after 3 years, had 70,000 miles on them. Paid 3 dollars more 3 years later for the...
I like the idea. Would have to really look at how it is tied onto your truck. There is a lot of torque when corning with a sled up that high. Would the rails be strong enough? Just something that highway traffic may be looking at.
Why take it off? Just remove the bracket on the one side and it will no longer function as a sway bar. At least to start with, then it is easy to re connect if you don't like it. I removed mine and didn't like the way it felt, was used to it already on.
Dealer here says he still has people bringing in boats and sea-doos to winterize, at the same time he is trying to uncrate 30 sleds to get them out the door.
My first time last year was to here, had a blast. Good place to start, you can get into some bigger climbs but the terrain kinda eases you into it. Picture on my Avatar is from there.
I ordered one of these and it came in yesterday. Bought it mainly for camping but it is reasonably light, very small and very strong. May put it on my sled a stronger shovel for hard snow.
