But seriously, this happens in our group all the time! The lone buddy always understands and will come out on their own to get in whatever riding they can. Most of our crew does a lot of driving for work so it's not a biggie to do the drive alone.
I do consider all of the things that I carry to be essential purchases (as Momma had asked) for a first time sled owner. If you are taking the risk and going into the backcountry whether you are an expert rider or a beginner, sh!t can go sideways in a hurry so why not be prepared right off the bat??
Agreed. I always carry enough survival supplies on my back to get me through at least one night on the mountain if need be. All the gear on your sled won't do much good if you get separated from your ride. I have about 6 reflective blankets because I'm not gonna freeze my skinny as off! Some...
