Check the ground wire at the bottom of your steering post as well. This also happened to my '07 M1000 and it took forever to figure it out.

My dad took me to see Tina Turner in '87ish, I would have been about 10 years old. My latest concert was this year, Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie's Gruesome Twosome Tour. Many, many concerts in between.... I am a concert whore :p
