A few pics Including JPL main only char there. I can’t post the other pics of buildings and accommodations that have burnt to the ground but a little more than a dozen did. Some pics of electrical poles burnt.
Sorry guys for not posting a lot lately. We leave at 6:15 am and are getting back at 8 pm then have at least 2 hours of paperwork. Eat, sleep and do it all over again. JPL alone has 500 plus workers cleaning up I have to be there every second day for inspections. With that many workers things...
Been home doing paperwork, cutting my grass, banking, and many reports. Need a 4 day break before I burn myself out. Climbing around on a total loss fire site with limited balance has its challenges but I did it. I still have 30 + properties to attend and approximately 15 cleaning...
I was with Lisa from Sunrise Int. All day yesterday inspecting all there staff units.
Came home for a few days to do paperwork and get laundry done. Trailer is still at Jasper Gates, will head back tuesday.
The one shell was open in town today. Was interesting this morning heading in at 7 am, bumper to bumper traffic. A bit un-organized with no signage as we had to enter into Jasper on the west side. We started at Pine Bungalows just southeast of Jasper, lots of char and ash in inside. We have...
Campsites are $63.00 we are getting the cabins for $180 however everything is full everywhere now right through hinton, crews are staying in Edson now they are saying. We are getting a special contractor rate. I should bring the razor
I can probably post pics tomorrow, because I’m sure everyone will be.
Been a tough 1 1/2 weeks here so far. I put approximately 13000-16000 steps a day. The drawback is working from 8-5 that’s it. We plugged through about 80 inspections Still have a few hundred left.
No, so much more work for atco, the crews were working hard. They are staying in Hinton, spoke with a few. They do start at around 10. Many poles are 1/2 gone and the west side of town has no power. The apartments we were at today were burnt to the ground sampling was difficult. Sure a...
Talked with fire fighters today, there are letting it burn. Some pretty big flares there. Was in the hotspot in jasper all day, there was many atco electric vehicles and workers. All the powerpoles are burt on the southwest side of jasper and there is no power.
Who the media?
That is way off after what I been seeing alone. Today I was at an extensively damaged apartment complex, then the neighboring building had burnt to the ground. Then we have 2 large apartment buildings across the street. Probably 15 million right there on that street, as far as...
We have completed about 19, we have at least 140 remaining. We are only conducting inspections on Hotels, Restaurants, Staff Lodging, Grocery Stores. At this time no houses. We anticipate we will be completed our initial assessments by mid September followed by continuous rigorous...
I’m shocked that they are letting people in so soon. The water is still not potable, streets are barricaded off with what appears to be improperly installed fencing. There are many hazards present. Large trees are still on buildings. There is no gas stations operating, no groceries, no hotels...
We been stuck on the highway at the JPL bridge for 45 minutes while at least 10 fire trucks about 15-20 rcmp and a dozen trucks all with lights are heading north east. Not moving, there was heavy black smoke for a bit. Only one helicopter so far. Some fire trucks are heading back to Jasper for...
We’re at the Lobstick lodge. Large sprinklers came on in the back and the entire building is sprayed with some oily thick beige fire retardant. Quite a mess. Highway is closed again lots of fires around town. All the buildings have definite smoke damage.
