LOL.. nah, we will take our own trailer.. but thanks for offering on Tex's side.. I'm sure he appreciates that. So we took a drive out there on Saturday, we were pretty happy when we realized its the area that we stopped for the mid trail lunch at the Jamboree's.. we love this area! And it was...
Yeah its a pretty risky move, we wouldn't have anyone available to go and check on it every night. My parents live in Nordegg but still.. we will just have to take our chances with finding a spot somewhere Thursday. Sure it will be a lot better than trying to find a place Friday lol. We aren't...
Sweet potato with turkey bacon and blue cheese appetizers..
couple sweet potatoes, cut up in about 1/4" thick rounds (leave skin on), toss lightly with some olive oil and seasoning ( I use garlic salt, cracked pepper, paprika, thyme) bake in the oven for about 20-25 mins on 425, or until...
Haha yeah i'm not expecting we will get any VIP spots, but we will make do with what we can find when we get there. I wanted to try and hook up with Tex, but I think he's too intimidated of having a Bettie sister impose on his group for the weekend .. ;) lol.
We will cross our fingers and hope...
Alright well we will just have to take our chances with finding a spot, its not as if we need a huge area. I'm not really willing to take 3 days off work and spend 5 days out there and eat up all my vacation time, unfortunately. I'm sure finding a spot on Thursday would be much better then...
Ohk cool thanks. so its range road 85 though.. that's the gravel road you were mentioning that you turn onto after the 2nd bridge on prairie creek/twp 380..so i just keep heading south on that until the texas gate. K cool. Think i've got it. Maybe we'll see ya out there ! You will know by my sig...
Okay, based on the rough directions I had (I can't find Prairie Creek road on google map), going off the TWP 380.. I've attached a map and circled an area off range road 85.. is this the Southfork staging area? Or i'm I way off? LOL sorry .. and thanks again.
Oh I know, but since you seem like you go out there lots, do you think my odds of getting in there on the Thursday early evening and finding a spot will be okay? Is the place quite big?
Thanks for some of the info guys :) Tex was mentioning that this SouthFork area isn't as particularily skeggy as others, and more harder clay terrain and what not.. if this is true, this is where I would like to go... plus its always good to go somewhere you know ther'es fellow Snow & Mudders...
I'm not trying to stay away from clowns, but i'm not trying to be around them either, pretty much anywhere you go on may long there is going to be people, we just want a good spot to camp and ride and everyone in my group votes for the mountains/foothills so we're trying to aim for the Rocky...
Yeah I'm not familiar at all with Prairie Creek road but I'm sure I can google it...I know where Outwest RV Park is, and that's about it lol..not sure if its the same area at all? Where abouts is the best place to camp around there?
Yeah good call eh.. I'm thinking the same, I think we're going to aim for the Rocky area..prob a bit of a gongshow as well but hopefully a little better than some of the other places.
Ohk so its around Rocky area then?
Tex we may have to arrange to hook up then, so I know we're with people that know the area well and the good camping spots... :)
Yeah they were in the north sub, on Shunda Creek road.. the big lodge and cabins with the green tin roofs.. Colieum Mountain Resort is what it was called.. beside the Hostile..ya they shut er down for good, unfortunately. Very, very sad. We had a lot of friends that enjoyed coming up for...
Yeah unfortunately too far and expensive to tow a trailer out there for a little weekend trip, two days or so. I'm looking to stick to as close to the Edmonton - Calgary area as possible.
Think we might try and hit up the Rocky/Caroline area.. but we will see
