Correct, The staging area is 22 km's south of Blue River, turn left off the highway at the Chain OFF area at the bottom of Messiter summit. You are able to access Salmon, Ground Hog East & West, and Foam from this area.
Had 4200 miles on my 2011 Pro, No issues. Sold it with 120lbs compression both sides.
Have 4800 miles on my 2012, and just broke a ring last week. Had no engine issues till then.

A beautiful day off, first day out to ride without clients in while. Ventured 40 miles up a valley, just making it to the bowl we were planning on hanging in all day. Bang, the belt striped off about 10 teeth while sidehilling a fresh slope with no warning. I never had the belt skip or jump cogs...
Made it into Holy Grayle today, but the sun wouldn't cooperate.
A few guy's poked up into the Big Blue side.
One bad creek crossing, 20 feet across and some nasty rock throughout with 12 inches of running water.
It's not a easy task getting in, the trail is difficult, so be prepared.
