    Selling at auctions

I guess I should mention that these are recreational machines, not equipment. So these guys have one every Saturday. Aiming for the 23rd I think would be good.

    Selling at auctions

I was buying at a online auction this week/today for Bodens shutdown and the prices went crazy. I did get a pair of jack stands cheap but the air jack I was going after was getting too high. Made the guy pay for it though that was going against me lol.

    Selling at auctions

I sent osman an email. I’m thinking I’ll try them and see how it goes. They are open late a couple days during the week so I can prep this weekend and drop them off next week.

    Selling at auctions

Done with Kijiji. Too many tire kickers. Thinking of just dropping them off and collecting a cheque.

    Selling at auctions

Thinking about dropping off 3 machines at auction. Any auctions better then others in Edmonton for the seller? Any recommendations?

    Travel Trailer battery question

The plates are def bigger but when using one or the other between a marine/rv battery vs a deep cycle I don’t think you will notice a massive difference. This is 6v vs 6v not 6v vs 12v I am talking about.

    Travel Trailer battery question

Not much difference between the two

    Travel Trailer battery question

I have a few Kirkland rv batteries and they are decent for the price. Last setup I went with 2 6v batteries from Rocky’s. 300 for the pair. They are much better then the 12v and close to the same price.

Building a Tandem Axle Farm Truck?

You can get stuff adjusted but need to find a guy that knows what each setting will do. And even then it takes time as you have to make an adjustment or two then test drive, adjust and driver etc. I haven’t been into a Cummins dealer program in years so not sure what they have access these day...

Building a Tandem Axle Farm Truck?

I think he is talking about programming. It can be adjusted so when you hit 1500 or really whatever number you enter the engine will fall flat. Three of the international lease returns I am cleaning up have it programmed in. They came out of the east. They can be a pain to drive if you like to...

Building a Tandem Axle Farm Truck?

More or less. Unless it is a heavy load the low range I don’t split. But they are there if you need.

Building a Tandem Axle Farm Truck?

I have to add the disclaimer that I work on the stuff and have my class 1 but don’t drive professionally.

Building a Tandem Axle Farm Truck?

Parts availability and just that, Being able split when needed. Everything with a 13 spd always seems to feel underpowered. Same with that Alison trans. Mack and Volvo have the nicest auto trans in the business IMO but if you get one of those make sure you get every bit of extended warranty you...

Building a Tandem Axle Farm Truck?

Most reliable is 18 speed eaton if you know how to drive and not rip out clutch brakes. I don’t like the Allison unless it is in my pickup. Usually reliable but if something goes wrong you can’t just get it fixed anywhere like the eaton 18 spd. Ultra shifts are “ok” but the electronics can be a...

Broken rear leaf spring looking for shop west ed or Spruce

Also source the parts out from everywhere you can think of. Even amazon. I can get struts for one of my vehicles for $300 a piece vs the dealer wanting $800 for the exact same Delco part number of amazon. At least if you use the dealer then you can see what they charge for parts and go from...

Broken rear leaf spring looking for shop west ed or Spruce

Well I think of it it this way for a few reasons. Why did it break? A newer truck spring should never break. Unless it was over stressed. Why would one spring and the others be in perfect shape. Another is that springs will sag over time. Now you’re going to have a sagging spring vs one that is...

Broken rear leaf spring looking for shop west ed or Spruce

Or the other springs could have smaller cracks in them you can’t see and end up breaking a month from now after spending all that cash to do one.
