I went with specialty sleds, 8" anodized with polyurethane coating, they worked very well this season, even the the really sticky wet snow.
My sled was completely cover in snow all day long and to clean it off entirely after being cover was at least 8 mins hahaha. You can see the wheels arn't...
Thats a great idea, they anodize tunnels all the time and such, most stuff from him is actually anodized or powder coated. Ill give them a call tomorrow.
Ill post what he tells me for anyone else looking into this :)
actually only took me a day and a half to get it to that point while i was organizing cleaning and putting things away. Once i get everything prepped and back from getting coated the re-assembly should be a few days. The most time consuming thing i have done so far is sanding and polishing...
On the rev chassis the tunnel is part of the bulkhead, to remove the tunnel or ever change one it requires cutting and then tig welding back together. I haven't touched anything to do with the motor yet and really don't want to. Only thing left that i need to remove are the foot pockets and...
Hey all
Just wondering if anyone from Calgary has had some anodizing and or powder coating done from someone in Calgary and would recommend them. Part of the summer project is doing some color and I am currently looking for a good place to take my stuff. Tog Gun coatings was my first choice but...
Probably should of said i wasn't bashing Chad or CR stuff, not in the slightest. My info has come from a few people that own them and just discussion about them, none of it has been my own, one guy felt pretty strongly about his CR tunnel not being very good and wished he had gone another route...
May long is very doable on Boulder, i can't see anyone doing Frisby. Just make sure you take Kirkup and not Vied or Bez, you will be riding creeks and rocks like no other. Best if you have a truck and deck with you that has some big rubber and lifted to bust through some spots with snow on some...
CR is very nice, but i have heard a lot of complaints from guys wishing they had gone a different route, CR tunnels are mass produced now and the quality has gone down along with quality control, the chrome paint tends to wear off after a while too. Van Aumburg Van Amburg Enterprises would be a...
The season is pretty much over my man, to spend coin on shocks and then get a new setup that might possibly come with shocks. To go with the Baker rear looks pretty simple to install, probably easier than replacing or rebuilding shocks then reinstalling them. I have seen NEW XP's with blown...
Thouse are sick man, nice work !!!! id be up for that this will be part of my summer project so there is no rush at all.... PM me with some details, very interested.
Yer going to Nickelback !?!? lucky bastard ... wanted to go to that... Let's do it SS, wouldn't mind trying out a 2010 Apex or hopping on a alpine sled for a rip and hit the cabin for a burger ! Are the 2moto guys going to be there (dirt bike snowmobiles) i heard they might?
No i don't myself but i ride with a few guys that do, i also got a chance to see Bakers sled work a few weekends ago when i rode with him, that thing flat out RIPS !!!
It makes the back of your sled stick straight up, even when sitting on it there is no sag, if you push down on it hard it...
Looking into putting a pair on my 07 Rev, tired of kicking the crap outta my running boards, espically with all the heavy wet powder iv been in this season. Anyone know of a place that sells them in Canada ? Snow eliminators are from the states i think. I wouldn't mind anodizing them too, would...
Your current track is exactly the same as a Camo extreme but it is a 2.3 lug not a 2.5.... thats not a much of difference and would be a waist of money if you ask me for around $1000. Your trenching problem is improper suspension setup but the stock suspension is no good either. The best mod for...
Saw some of these RT 1000's with the yami 4 stroke motor in them with turbo, also saw a rev 800 chassis with a vector turbo motor in it, pretty impressive. I guess it's for thouse guys that just love their Rev chassis and lighter weight ! id own one ...
March 13th Boulder in the lakes playing in trees, fell of during side hill, stuck my legs in the track to keep er from picking up too much speed haha.
No damage which was nice, i tweeked the steering a little because the bars are going one way and the skis the other way, that might have gotten...
