Home from Yamafest 2018 and it was a blast! Awesome snow conditions, Weather was decent mix of clear/clouds/snow, tons of Sidewinders and Vipers on the Hills more then I thought I’d see that’s for sure!! Met a bunch of the Instagram Riders and Snow n Mud riders on the hill that was great, nice...
Haha that’s what this thread is for hopefully everyone going gets some nice pictures and videos.
This will be my first year going and so far we have a group of 3 sidewinders.
Figured I’d make a section for everyone going to post up pics/vids and possibly make a large sidewinder group of everyone for a day.
I’ll be heading up April 4-8th with Brandon and a few others last trip of the season for me!
No the settings I’m running now are 65psi fronts setting 2 for whooped trail ride in/out and setting 1 in the alpine. Front Skid shock I have it set at 70psi setting 2 and my rear is set at 150psi setting 2. I have it setup for just playing around not climbing only. But plan on trying it back -...
When’s this Sidewinder Group Ride happening, heard rumours and potential. Would be pretty fun for a couple days all sidewinders from Trees, Bowls, Chutes!! I’m home March 14-24th so somewhere in that range would be awesome! Before the snow gets to spring like.

A billet version called Pickle Protector should be available now.
I have used the Yamaha factory skid plate since my Chaincase cracked first ride this season and it’s worked great so far.
The lockout does work it makes it incredibly stiff but once enough force not sure the exact number is applied is gives. My 162 will come right over backwards easily if held WOT. I have learned to control front end lift with my right thumb now while climbing.
I have done 55-80psi in the front...
That’s what I paid most attention too was the backshift. I noticed the trip before it didn’t backshift and lugged down on RPM on a longer climb but it was heavier snow and I didn’t have the helix. Nor did I really give it a blurp off and then back on either.
So that being said this trip it...
Sleds pulling strong feels good I couldn’t see the gauges the entire trip I even tried but the snow just covered it as soon as I started moving.
I added the 33/35 Dalton/TP helix and 70% tension setting. Didn’t blow a single belt this trip and did quite a few wide open pulls through the trees...
