I’ve always used these few steps to keep safe or feel safer while riding in the mountains. I’ll be purchasing an In-Reach explorer + so the wife can text me and track me for this season.
1. I tell my dad and my wife where I am riding, and who I am riding with that day. We have a set time that...
I ride 90% in Revelstoke. This trip to Valemount would have been most likely my only trip out this way.
I’ll give you a shout closer to next trip and see if your available.
Haha yep super secret new setup! Just trying a few changes to see if it’s better or worse. Tinkering.
I have a disc related injury I’m pretty sure that’s been 40 days now of pain. Never had an injury like this before. Some Hot- Tub, massage, chiro, rest, hotncold pack and some Advil hopefully...
I’m interested to see how much rpm I gain from the rollers to be honest. If any? I’m out in Prince George now and I’m supposed to be riding today and testing new helix and these rollers but I have an annoying injury that needs another week of rest.
Got the Hi-Torq’s in the sled now and some new Iceage rails to replace my bent stockers. But I won’t be able to try out the new stuff until 2nd week of January now.
Added the low windshield to my CR Hood makes it look more better haha. Impatiently waiting to get out and ride after I heal up.
There are a few kits Precision EFI, Hurricane, MCX Stage 2, EVO Stage4. Turbo Dynamics has good tunes not sure if anyone runs them in the mountains though.
I think if you pick anyone of the big 4 tunes and run pump gas results will be similar. Toss on a Stage 3 MCX if you want the bigger setup...
Well they are very similar from what I can tell. I rode with Kibbels and Catman10 and we all agreed it’s pretty close tune - tune and it will come down too simply:
1. Whoever is clutched better
2. Whoever is the better rider...... it’s the mountains not a flat lake or trail like the eastern...
Yep double check primary/secondary rollers make sure they all roll/spin freely, check for flat spots and clean both sheaves aswell as blow everything out with Air.
All 3 should be touching and rolling smoothly.
Hey glad to see the bar setup is working! And the shock pressure rode nice!
I haven’t gotten a chance to install the Hi-Torq rollers yet. Home on Wednesday and they get installed.
Renshaw is awesome one of my favorite zones. Crazy big parking lot full of trucks and we don’t see anyone ever. Ride with an older guy who has shown me zones most haven’t seen probably.
I run 65-70psi front shocks setting #2 for trail and setting #1 for alpine
80 psi front skid shock setting #2
Climbing I max rear shock set it on Lockout
General riding 160psi setting #2
Go up or down in 5psi increments. Find what you like and just maintain the pressure.
