    Only issue i had was with a restricted license, they send a letter asking for proof of range membership. At the time(few months ago) they didn't/couldn't receive the proof via email. Had to be mailed or faxed. And low and behold, they lost it/could find record of fax being sent(as I did it both...

    No, no they don't. You just have to inform your insurance company that the vehicle will be used out of province. Have done it with AB plates to BC and BC plates to AB. You pay extra. But fully legal.
