So this just came out on iTunes today. I watched it earlier today and I must say it's definitely worth watching especially since most of the other videos released this year have been average to not so good.
Yes people ride with avy gear around the okanogan. Also there is plenty of avalanches that happen out in those areas. So I would be wearing your gear. Someone died last year in an avalanche up at Keifer Lake.
This is the reason I went with the ABS over any of the other packs. If your not happy with the size you bought all you have to do is buy another zip on, not and whole new pack. Saves you a lot of money if you find out you don't like the size you bought.
Cougar Den is a great place if you have lots of people and want kitchens in your cabins. They also have a hot tub and washing machines available on site. Beaver Creek is also a nice place to stay but don't have the kitchen facilities in your cabin but you are closer to amenities in town.

So just curious if anyone else had a base unit last year dye your jacket black? ABS is aware of the issue and I guess it was caused by them not waterproofing a bunch of units they sent out. If so have you had your pack replaced yet and did they do anything about your jacket?

studded hakkas are the best by far. I have tried others and nothing compares. I tow a backhoe around in the winter and I have not had and issues with slipping around.
