Goose creek / Airport is a great place to go if you are looking for something different but not closer than Revy. Lumberton is closer and also a good place to go in a good snow year. Not sure what it's like this year.
G5 is the best sled I have driven. Tracks really good on the trail and super great on edge stone stock. Mine is a 154 sp, Down from the 165 G4. I think if you are having problems check your set up.
Be very careful I'm sure those metal posts sticking out would do some damage for sure not to mention all the other crap they have left all over. Not at all like the good old days on the pipeline.
Was up yesterday as well . They need snow! I have never seen it that low this time of year. On the bright side met some nice people and still had a good ride . Son-in-law tried out a 9R with the 3.25 track and loved it. The new cat looked cool but was running hot. We probed 120 cm in the trees...
I bought a 23 sp instead of the edge because the cooler is bigger and it has a flap. there are always trails that are crap ice at early and late times of the year. I had a 2015 T3 with the small cooler that was really easy to over heat . I guess they only want you to ride your new expert sleds...
My 2018 had the dealer updates done before I bought it including vent 3600 km 2belts . Never blew one. Sold it with the second one on it and still measured very good. I hope the G5 is just as good. It would be nice to have snow to test it.
