Pretty simple. When the value of something is based on what all the buyers and sellers think it will be worth in future, meanwhile the thing itself is worthless to own, its value is completely tied to the 'mood of the mob.'
I watched the W5 episode.
I'm non-plussed by the situation. As cults go, this one is nothing to write home about. Netflix and Youtube are littered with better episodes on cults. Here's a good episode to get a glimpse at some more impressive ones:
Your theory doesn't explain why this happens to the P22 and not the P85. If the clutch was slipping in rotation on the shaft, why isn't the P85 also slipping and breaking bolts? If anything the P85 should be worse because it has less installation torque, so it should slip even more.
I was just about to post this!
I expect a big emergency meeting at Polaris tomorrow morning. They have to copy the latest version of the Cat clutch, stat!
At this point if a guy hasn't had to make a speed run back to the truck or town to get P22 clutch parts / replacement clutch / bolt / torque wrench / install tools, you can't even call yourself a mountain rider.
I don't hunt coyotes. I know a few guys that are big into it during the winter and they live in Regina. They are on insta and FB as 'predator world hunting'.
