Looking for snow removal options next winter.

Stupid thought - but riding time is pretty valuable. Thought about hiring someone on contract to help you out? What is your time worth once you get there? I have a neighbour who has the ATV blower and it is meh. I have a friend who has a curved blade for his quad that can roll the snow and...

Class 1 to pull a travel trailer?

It's funny you say that. I can verify that a 2008 Extended cab 4x4 Taco with a V6 will pull a 29 footer. Saw it going up the Qu-Appelle valley a few years ago. Shook my head at it until I asked around and realized it was one of my uncles! Asked him about it - we're still *close* to max towing...

    Reminiscing of past sleds owned

I don't - it's an interesting piece. Our Nash is a 1929 420 I believe. My dad started restoring the car in the late 70's. As my sister and I became more involved in things, time slipped away from him and he dropped it. Never came back to it. It's about 20% restored and everything is there...

    Reminiscing of past sleds owned

I wish we would have kept the RV. It was a fantastic machine. Bought a 72 Blizzard 340 in the late 90's with money from cutting grass and doing yard work for neighbours. Still have it and still never made alot of progress on it. Too many things in life got in the way. Keep thinking I should...

    Reminiscing of past sleds owned

When I was younger we had a variety of machines. I started on a Moto Ski Mirage II. Big change when we added a second carb! Never thought much of it at the time, but next machine was a 75 R/V that we bombed around on. I still to this day, think it's the best looking machine Doo ever built...

    Zero turn mower

Gpt a buddy who bought an acerage 5 years ago. Likes the best of the best. Bought a commercial zero turn toro for about $25k. Told him why don't you save your money and buy a cheap used mower until you actually plant grass. 5 years later the Toro remains a very expensive rough cut mower...

    Zero turn mower

I use Gators as well. They are prettt cheap and work really well. Sort of a hybrid high loft mulching blade.

    Temporary Tent Buildings

The building I put up came with the ratchets everywhere. I think they ever sent a few spares. Must be 50 ratchets in the building. End walls have ratchets every 18in or so and base strap has them on either end

    Zero turn mower

Is it just me or are there few people like you who buy a nice mower and never take care of the blades? Sort of defeats the purpose doesn't it?

    Temporary Tent Buildings

Is that a Norseman Q Series? I Have a 40 x 44 that I self installed. I bought a base rail kit with it and it worked well. If I had to suggest anything to install, I'd highly recommend a rolling scaffold. I've had mine up since 2014 and check the straps once a year and hasn't had to...

    Zero turn mower

More money but you can find these well taken care of used. We have a Deere 1435 4wd with heat and AC. 72in deck. Super comfy and easy to drive. As maneuverable as a zero turn and has a good yanmar diesel in it. Does a nicer job than my 2520 CUT with the 62in deck and is much faster

Global vehicle sales expected to decline 22% in 2020

Etching is an absolute pet peeve of mine. I once walked away from a deal because I was so pissed off that they etched the windows before I took delivery and tried to stick me for $600 for it.

Global vehicle sales expected to decline 22% in 2020

It's been an interesting time. A week and a bit ago I asked about what is considered high hours on a vehicle. After some more tire kicking, I worked out the numbers and we decided that buying new would add another year of payments, but based on the mileage we drive, another 2.5 -3 years of...

Automotive Retail Sales Year End 2019

Spoke to a relatively large ford dealer in Alberta last week. Told me they were down 80 vehicles in March year over and are on target for about 140 less in April. They are willing to deal. We've been looking for something for my wife and I've never had so many dealers calling me or offering...

    Vehicle Hours vs Miles

While Potash is bad for corrosion, you should see how things go to die in the Uranium mines up North. Once they are onsite they are very difficult to get a clean radiation scan to go back offsite. When I was knsite we had a 97 F250 with a 5.4 that to the rug wouldn't break 40kmh. Mechanics...

    Vehicle Hours vs Miles

Must be an Alberta thing - our enforcement isn't that sneaky in this province. Looking at a large SUV so imagine this would have been used for crew transport

    Vehicle Hours vs Miles

I'm the same..my 14 Ram 2500 CTD has 188k and has 2970 hrs runtime and 536 hrs idle. I live acerage and do about 70km per day roundtrip to work on highway. I average about 63kmh on that
