I hit a rock and damaged one of my stock skis. I've always wanted to try some aftermarket skis anyway so I figure now is as good a time as any. The powder pro has a curved keel and some guys are saying these are the way to go. Others are saying to go with CA Pro. I guess I'll flip a coin but I'm...
I just got a call from my nephew who was part of the recovery and heard the bad news. My sincerest condolences go out to all family and friends, R.I.P. My fellow sledding brother.
A friend of mine with the same sled; '14 XMX-163 had it happen on his sled. Maybe just a freak incident? He said a buddy of his told him he heard the same thing happen to someone he knew. I've had the throttle stick before on a daily basis when riding handlebar deep powder but never just riding...
I've been hearing rumors of the throttles on '14 Summit 800 Etech sticking. I have one of these sleds. Anyone had any issues? By the way, after seeing that gnarly video on here, my tether is no longer latched to my throttle cable, I've been hooking that sucker up before I even put my helmet on...
I was told by several reliable sources that it has nothing to do with balancing/dampening. BRP does put the ring gear on all the clutches for one simple reason: it's easier for them to just put it on all of them instead of just the ones with e-start.
I always take the useless ring gear off the back of my primary because I don't have e-start and just see it as a needless piece of rotating mass. Unfortunately I stripped a couple of the bolts and was wondering if any of you have any tips on getting them out. I'm going to run to Home Depot and...
The '14 is my first XM so I'm not too sure how it's going to compare to my old XP sleds. The sway bar was one of the first things I'd get rid of on the XP. I was thinking about doing the same on my XM. How will it handle without the sway bar?
Maybe you and your buddies got leftover Etech cans from '12/'13? Ken at Specialty Sleds told me that the probe on the '14 Etech is different than the older ones. I couldn't use the can from my '12 on my '14, had to get a new one.
I use a Stihl as well. Great saw. I was hung up on a tree in Gorman a couple years ago and was using the saw from the handle of my SOS shovel. The thing broke on me, gashed my hand. I'll never use one of those saws to cut trees again.
20km? That's it? We've raced 3 times that far back to the trucks at the end of the day in the spring when the trail looks like a shelled out war zone. Those shocks aren't going to make me go faster than full throttle. I've never had a problem with the stock X shocks and I don't even run a sway...
Yes, I know the deal. I talked to Trent a week ago. The KYBs that come on the X are already decent shocks though, that's why we buy the X; because it has better shocks. Aren't the KYBs listed in the parts catalog for $500(without springs)? And if they're going to be putting Raptors on every...
I'm interested in a '14 XM-X 163 black/black. Riverside is $14,600+tax=$15,330 with a 4 year warranty or $250 off with a 3 year warranty. Martin is the same price but they're throwing in some aftermarket front shocks as a sales gimmick. I bought 3 sleds from Riverside so you'd think I might get...
