Make sure you have the rings facing the Right way up or down. Some have a direction marking on them (R) right buy the split in the ring. This should go up. Rings usually have a Taper down or up. If you have it the wrong way it wont squeeze into the grove of piston properly and if it does, it...

A few pictures of the day. The best snow of the day was at the top of the pass. Believe it or not. After seeing the slide first thing in the morning. We didn't climb much.Some chunks were close to the size of my sled. It was hard not to but played it safe.
There was about 3 inches of fresh in parking lot at 830 am. -15 in the morning. Buy the time we got back to truck at 6 it was +8 and all the fresh was gone. There is a fair amount of dirt riding down low on way out. I would say its pretty much done out there unless they get a big spring dump.(...

DON'T hit bolt or puller with hammer. This is hard on crank bearings and alignment pins that go into the crankcase/bearing.
Tip sled on side. Fill the clutch hole with water. Take your 9/16 bolt and wrap 4 times on first row with teflon tape. Second row (continuous tape) of tape go 6-7 times...

What M series you have? My m7 uses a 9 /16 fine thread. My 2008 m1000 uses a 14mm fine thread. But found out on the 2008 m1000 you can use the primary bolt to do the water trick.It treads threw clutch and then into crank. On the m7 you cant.I have both bolts to do the job.
