Only if you have the matching monster stickers :P
In all honesty though, i've had way more then the weight of 2 sleds in it before. I had like 1400 lbs of dirt in the back of it as it was the only vehicle that could drive right into our backyard haha. Not recommended, but it did fine. Lots of...
There not bad... But in all honesty the bands on them are atrocious and wear out after like no washes. Which is kinda a main point when they are 35 bucks a pair. CK gets my business.
Do yourself a favour and just buy the Honda. I've had my Honda 622 for years, and every single year it fires up first pull. Im pretty sure it was the smallest tracked one that they sold, but makes the difference. The bloody thing can throw snow like 15 feet in the air like nothing. (According to...
Figured I would bump this one to the top would like to see more of these machines! - Its that time of the year again when old trikes and stuff really shine, right before the sled season kicks off.
Might seem a tad old school... But a nice Series 1400 Pelican case fits perfectly in the jerry can holder. Great way to have storage some days, and fuel the others. I've even strapped it on to the can if needed. I can grab a photo if ya like.
I use my HMK's all the time on the board. They seem a bit stiffer, but not really all that noticeable. Just had to tighten the bindings in quite a bit to get them to fit.
If it was me I would just premix for the first 2-3 tanks, run it a bit rich then just run straight fuel afterwards. Not going to be too crazy long of pulls early season anyways.
The trailer is the way to go. Nothing like having nice dry gear, and clean sleds every morning in the midst of winter.
Then in the summer, its a great place to store your sleds.... Long track's take up way to much bloody space in the garage.
Happened to be walking through MEC today, the guys let me know that they are expecting their Jetforce bags in the next two weeks. I'll let you know what I find!
I don't really think there will be much of an issue with that, its safety gear goes through pretty stringent testing. Even more so, just pull the thing a bunch of times do some test runs if your not comfortable. Hopefully they have some at the sled show to take a look at!
Post what you find out of this I am in the same situation. Looks as though Black Diamond/Pieps have some new ones coming out as well that don't use compressed cylinders rather just fans. Will be interesting to see how these do. Would be nice to pull it whenever you get in a ****ty situation and...
Just figured that I would post this up here, somehow in the randomness of searching youtube for sled videos I found someone who posted an entire AST1 session on youtube. I don't think that this eliminates the need for a a classroom AST-1 but is good refresher, or to make sure that your cheap...
Not really an alternative for it, but if you are just using it to protect the flooring, some old truck bed liner cut into strips did the job in my old trailer no issue. Just gotta be careful not to make the strips too wide, as they are plenty slippery when wet.
