Those are the worst. We have a couple at the current plant I’m at and frig they are always broken. When I used to work at transalta we totally rebuild those every 6 years, chain, paddles, rails, guides and sprockets. They seemed to have less down time there.

Here’s my take on Chinese tires. They last 1/2 as long and cost 1/2 the price however shop time is doubled. My dad had bough a used 3500 dodge with comforcers 3000s I think. You could actually watch those tires wear down on weeks with lots of km put on. Once they were wore down I put a set of...
My corporate pricing went up 46c last week. I picked up 2000L at $1.57. The next morning it went to 1.97 then the day after that it went up to 2.03 crazy times rn. Saved over $800 hopefully I have enough to hold me over till prices come down.

I always try to find the privately owned fancy restaurants. The type where the owner is seating you and asking how your meal was.

Those company’s make their money with the high risk and fine print. A while back there was a post about some guy on Alberta sledders who bought a sxs from one of those companies. He paid his loan off in the agreed term and owed them like $3500 lump sum or the loan continued. He had a copy of the...

This is 100% true. As a mechanic I piss excellence, as a business owner heck I’m not very good at that yet. I have been managing on my own but just. Im pretty close to landing a shutdown manpower supplier. If I land that contract I’ll need to hire someone who knows that side of things.

The winch is held on by the two guard/ bar bolts. However Since I used a roller chain I also need to change the clutch. As long as I don’t drop the retaining clip I would say it’s a easy 20 min.

On a Full spool it will pull 3000 pounds vertical. Was going to get a Lewis which but they were on back order. Not really interested in a capstan which. As I need to have two items in the boat this way I have two tools in one.

Made it 1.1 km before I hit a sand bar on Saturday out by my self. My custom built land anchor and power saw winch attachment worked fantastic. Took about 1 hour to rig up, pull the boat about 100ft and tear down. That included flooding the power saw Lol. Hit a couple low spots later in the day...
Over night trip on the nsr almost at the point where the north and south sask rivers meet. There’s a few class one small class two set of rapids that we had to go through yesterday. smoked a big rock in the last set before we called it a night. hopefully this unit is strong enough for the...
Been rockin the nsr in Sk the last few weekends. It’s wide, sandy and unpredictable. The water often goes from 5 inches to 10ft in 1 step. I never seem to take any decent photos or videos but I could not be bother to set up shots. Heck I don’t even have a photo of the boat on the water. It was...
Finally got my boat out on the river and working good. Did 120km with my 557 fuel injected ford. I’m Running a Berk with a A3. Was able to pull 5200 rpm and stay on step at 3000 rpm. We were loaded heavy 4 guys, two coolers, a kicker, 370L of fuel, chain saw/ winch and a pile of tools since it...
