We have a charger hooked up so when you plug into 110 it charges the battery’s (we have 2 deep cycle 12v) The truck power also feeds these so they charge while we drive. I don’t worry about back feeding the truck as everything is 12v and the charger will kick out of all batteries are full

No it’s not necessary because the ones that get covered don’t get covered to the point they are plugged so airflows. It’s designed so the boots stop before they hit the pipe if that makes sense same for gloves and helmets

We run one on each wall, one dries gloves and helmets the other does boots or whatever. Have batterie bank set up that charge off of truck or 110 helps when your buddy is a plumber (@Bigjerry)
