Maytag, KitchenAid, Whirlpool, and Jenn-air are all the same company, and mostly the same parts. When we bought our appliances I really wanted to get the Jenn-Air 'Floating Glass' fridge. Think it was around $3600 at the time 13 years age. Was out of the budget, and did some research, found out...
Most new homes (prob code) now have a catch sill and drain for washing machines. I don't understand why there isn't one for dishwashers. I had two neighbors in our cul-de-sac that have had major damage (20K+) on their main floor and basements due to dishwashers failing.
There’s a ton of information on the interweb about appliance repair. Didn’t need it for everything but helps a lot with the electronics.
I’m sure if there is anyone on this site that need some help there’s probably been an appliance repair done by someone on the S&M community.
Paid 6K for a fridge, washer, dryer, stove, and dishwasher back in the day. Going ‘high end’ we would have been around 10k. Miele and Bosch weren’t in the budget back then. And I really wouldn’t want to dole the money out now to replace anything. Everything great when it’s working. Would never...
Well, I had to fix another appliance in the house today. Washer bearings chit the bed a while ago and finally got around to replacing them. Second time I’ve repaired the washer. Last fix was the drain pump.
Got to talking to the wife, and she started reminding me how many times I’ve had to fix...
I’ve had an inreach mini for 3 season now. No issues at all with it. I wouldn’t rely on an iPhone in the mountains for my just in case. That may change in a few years when there’s 20K more mini communication satellites up there though.
Got the wife a new iPhone13. Walmart of all places and got a great deal. Rogers wireless.
No upfront edge (waived by Walmart so no phone return or payment at the end of the contract and still only paying $20/month instead of $42 for the phone) and got a $350 walmart gift card. Ported the 2 cell...
My policy with Intact runs me $272/year. 2M liability, PL/PD, F/T/V (no collision). '17 850 G4 (stock). Last time I asked for pricing on collision it was close to $1000 more. Haven't asked in a while though. I'm sure if I was getting a new G5 850T with a 30K price tag I'd be getting collision...
Smith leading the first vote with just over 40%.
1 drop off. Waiting for the redistribution of votes for the 2nd ballot.
Toews in 2nd. Might be 4th or 5th redistribution before we have a winner depending on what the Jean supporters did.
18 years old when it happened. Called in sick to work (Stony Coop) that morning cause I felt like a bag of ch!t. Was laid out on the couch watching the morning news. They showed the first tower on fire and then the second one was hit on live tv. Was completely in disbelief at what was happening...
Thought I’d toss a few on here. Tonight’s is the poor man burnt ends and armadillo eggs. Probably do up some risotto as a side.
A few pics of steak and ribs from earlier this week.
I believe that a portion of the insurance premium is based on driving record (good, bad, new, etc). The other portion is now based on actual vehicle value.
The new rules are if you are in a collision, your insurance company covers the cost of repairing your vehicle. Our renewal for 2022 was done...
