8500km on my 19 Alpha. Once, l had moisture in the switch cause problems. Messed up the gauge too. Dried out at home. Never happened again. Last ride some ice got behind the reverse button and it wouldn't work. A little heat and back to normal.
When my Alpha track got up around 6000 km l noticed cracking on the rear, base of the lugs like that. It was a head scratcher. It stayed together up to 8000. You've got cracking where there aren't even lugs. Really weird.
The turbo is also liquid cooled. So that taxes the cooling system more. They can see that the warnings came on at low speed and low throttle position. No management in on Friday so l wait.
I heard the beep and l did just what the manual says. I pulled over and cooled down. Same as every otherone on the trail that day. Does it say warranty void if dash beeps?
The scuffed piston is unrelated to the 'overheat'. That's what 30 years of mountain riding tells me. I spoke with a woman...
It was. I had to authorize a complete teardown before they would even talk to BRP. So presumably sitting in pieces now.
Yeah, l didn't go hotter the initial warning. These sleds drink oil, actually. Those claims of lower oil usage were quietly dropped years ago.
