Seen every polaris sway bar break around that km and in same location on the polaris sleds i ride with. Warranty has replaced them. Primary clutch springs start going and then its non stop. This winter between two people they broke 8 primary springs in less then a month.
I have one on my alpha, i cut the factory connector off for 12v power and put on waterproof connectors also so i can plug in a battery over night to charge the gps. it works a heck of a lot better when it is fully charged vs trying to charge it with a running sled. takes 6-8 hours from depleted...
Been there done that, i had an early kit on a sled i bought. When it worked it was a riot. Fuel consumption was unreal how bad. Changing a broken supercharger belt is an ordeal. For the price i think i'd rather try a solid turbo. By the way, Reverse sucked literally. charger spun backwards...
5,000km on the 2019 alpha. All mountain riding, no jumping, a couple very small unintentional drops. All tree riding.
Failures i've encountered.
1. Broken rear scissor
2. Rear bogey wheel breaking the wheel around where the circlip holds it on, 9km up the trail, wheel ejected
3. Rear...
Instead of making a new thread every time, if people are interested i'll post my videos through out the season here. I got a new camera, first two videos were mainly experimenting with the camera, i couldn't edit full quality because of a software issue. $450 upgrade to the studio version and...
You're not wrong i am easy to please. i could still wear that monosuit. I just wanted to have a spare one so i upgraded. There's nothing wrong with either of them. For those days that your suit doesn't dry out. The inside of the suits stay dry, the outsides get damp where the water doesn't bead...
TOBE gear has worked well for me, couldn't believe i spent over $1000 on a onesie. But after i did i was glad i did, kept me dry for 3 years. But after that it started to get damp on the rain days. Then i upgraded to the new V2 suit of the one i already had. It has been great as well. Rode a...
I have a duratrac knock off tire muteki trail hog that i had studded and its my first tire i had studded. they aren't even a dedicated winter tire and my goodness did it make a difference. Day i got them on i pulled an unloaded superbee tanker up an off ramp that he had spun out on. Car's were...
Tunnel, bulkhead, cooler, steering, all the same. If that doesn't make the chassis then what does? Alpha rail is suspension in my opinion. You can easily modify or change out the suspension on any sled. You can't swap out a chassis without it becoming a different sled. Plastics aren't anything...
Looking for opinions for tires, my duratrac knock offs are completely toast. They're so out of round it shakes my truck apart. Need high load rating, studded, winter tires. 275/70r18
I rode my alpha down the ditch of my driveway on the farm two times to make sure it worked and didn't give any issues before heading west.
Rear wheels blew off in a drainage and shot forward stabbing the track.
sliders getting torn up from running track tension at factory specs and the clips...
After riding an alpha since january 2019. I would never own an alpha again. The track is the only reason why it works so well. Not the rail. Constant repairs on the rail. tracks delaminating. rods breaking.
If i could put an alpha track under a twin rail skid thats by far the best thing cat...
I’m glad I’m not the only one seeing these issues.
I worked at the same place since I was 17, and at 24 I was a foreman with my own crew building roads. My wage was stagnant with 0.5% to 0% raise every year. I stayed in that position for 7 years and wasn’t making a dollar more then when I...
