To me the issue isn't returns, averaging 7.7% return when the benchmark is doing 7.8% isn't terrible.
It's the fact that the fund has ballooned from 150 to 2100 fund managers from 2006 to 2024, and those fund managers now syphon off $3.5 billion per year in wages.
The motor doesn't move much once aimed, and it's overall power draw is pretty small. The phased array antanae takes care of tracking the satellites after that.
Power draw is from the phased array antanae in the dish, it takes a lot of power to send that much data back and forth to space 500km...
Just keep in mind a Starlink is pretty power hungry for an RV, they pull about 125 watts for 15 minutes on startup and a consistent 40-50 watts when operating or even just sitting idle. They'll drain a standard 100ah deep cycle battery in about 24 hrs.
It can be done, but you need a 12 volt to 48 volt converter, rj 45 adapter and a wireless router. And to set it all up. Seems like a bit of a hassle.
Personally I'd just get an efficient 120volt inverter and go that way, if you have Internet off-grid it's not going to be long before you have...
Bad time to be an ally of Putin. Slovakia's pro-Putin President Robert Fico was shot and nearly killed in an assassination attempt 4 days ago. Now Iran's pro-Putin Presidents helicopter falls from the sky killing all on board.

I don't know about you, but my life was better under Harper. Wages were higher, everything was cheaper. Amazing what happens when a federal government wants industry to succeed, and wants people to create their own wealth. Not this tax and redistribute system we have now.
Harper was last there in 2012.
It has changed, at it's origin it was a group of world leaders coming together to solve global issues. Today it's the global elites colluding to socially engineer world populations while increasing their wealth and control.
There's a difference between how Harper and Trudeau view the WEF though. Harper was certainly skeptical of the WEF, but used the gathering to meet with other world leaders and promote items such as trade deals with other nations.
The WEF has also changed significantly from Harper's time, and...
