Doesn't matter if knitting is your thing really, just have to figure out what it is that gets you unwound from life for a bit. Hobbies certainly change over the years for sure.
I have had a BMW x5 and currently have a Mercedes ML for my wife, they are economical to buy used because nobody wants to work on them. It gives me heartburn every time I open the hood on the Mercedes.
It can for sure depending on the how badly burned, loggers hate it.. its dirty lots of air filters and hard on blades/chains etc. Be interested to see what excuses they come up with for not doing it. "motorized vehicles"

Not if all the insurance companies wont insure your house.. they all ready thought of that. I had to switch companies to keep my stove active or my rates were going to skyrocket. Places like Montreal and Vancouver all ready have emissions limits on stoves and installation bans in certain areas...
For most no... I need air for polishing blowing out pads etc. There is a lot of cheap air tools out there for a thrifty fella but they are limiting compared to a cordless no doubt.
JMO opinion but my usage is similar to yours, I have an Omega compressor from Greggs off a welder plug, plumbed up the garage with 3 different runs of tubing and am quite happy. I also added a few volume tanks from older dead compressors that give me more volume if needed...
