I have a 2005 Polaris 800 Sportsman. It has EFI, and is twin cylinder, 4-stroke.
There are 2 facts that seem related:
1.) It fouls out a spark plug, about once a year, so I wind up replacing both plugs. This is a bit hard to do, As they are burried under the gas tank, and so it winds up taking...

Hi!
I'm Nate From Arkansas.
I am a Land Surveyor.
I use a Polaris 800 Sportsman, as a work tool.
I like anything with an engine.
I have a wife and 7 children, (yes, all ours) and they are alot like me. Love to get into stuff.
We are living our dream, having been married for nearly 12 yrs...
OK, I got the plastic plate off. There was still ice behind it. This is a gear box cover, that covers the gear shifting mechanism, and it has 2 shafts, with gears on them. Mine was full of water and ice.
Slowly worked the cover off, and the gear select sensor, too.
Cleaned it all up, greased...
I have the same problem.
I took the plastic cover LOOSE, on the right side, where the shifting shaft goes into the right side of the gearbox, and when I pried it out a little, a bunch of water drained out of it.
Maybe this will solve it?
I don't know. I cannot seem to get it any further off...
