To keep you jack shaft tucked nicelly inside the front of your tunnel I think 2.5" would be the most without an extended chaincase. Just my thoughts...
They are a good sled but the X has the top ring very close to the top of the piston and tends to break this off often. Not sure if I just have bad luck though.
I picked up this sled at the end of last season, I took it to the mountains for 2days at the end of last year that was the only place I could find sno. What is the life expectancy of these motors? It has roughly 1000 miles.
