Hey Chris
Out in Golden right now so I'll give you a shout when I get back. Mike is here with me and the new M8 pro climb. Didn't go to well, only made it about 4km from the staging area and it kept dying out on him. Now it starts but will only idle for @ 8 seconds. Not good. Had to tow it back...
Looking to buy a good used quad for my Dad for Christmas and will be the first to admit I know nothing about these units. He's 72 and retired so I thought he could keep himself busy through the winter by pushing snow around his farm. 300ft driveway so needs some maintenance. What should I be...
I would suggest getting a complete kit for an M6 off ebay. It will come with just about everything you need. The starter is the same apparently for the M6 as it is for the F1000 and you will be able to use the mounting brackets then for the starter and battery. The only parts you would have to...
I have put electric start on both my wife's and kids M6's. The brackets that hold the battery on the right side hold the starter as well. Then there's a drive cable from the starter that goes down along the backside of the engine. At the end of the drive cable there's a bracket that gets bolted...
Yes this can be done. You need to order the starter, ring gear and starter bracket for an F1000, and then order the battery brackets, battery and electrical for the M6 kit. You will have to change out the exhaust can since the stock one takes up to much room and that's where the battery sits...

509's helmets are actually made by AFX which retail for @ $85-100. So if you don't want to pay an extra $70 for snowmobile graphics just look at the AFX website.
Finally got it in to the dealer to have a look. They replaced the primary spring, adjusted the belt deflection and checked over the clutch (primary and secondary) for anything else they could see. Didn't make a bit of difference so back in it goes.
It was a great day for some spring riding. Thanks to Foothills M8 (Ian), Summit X (Cory) and Neddacsac (Roy) for lett'in me tag along. Here's a few more.
When I was hauling cattle we did many runs to Greely CO, Fargo ND, Pasco WA, Fresno CA, Rapid City SD. Hauled a lot of loads of feeder cattle to Laredo TX and the Mexicans picked them up from there and several loads down to LA ship yards that went across to Hawaii. Surprising how many loads a...
