Just putting this out there, but if the Etec uses less fuel and they dont need to pack jerry cans, And you can carry and remove spare fuel very easily, then the extra fuel packing is really a mute point. But at the end of the day the etec is still packing that extra weight of the fuel that it...
Some guys have been trimming the tips off the stock track and claiming noticeable improvement. Kinda stiffens up the paddle and creates more "bite" in the snow i Guess. Cheap mod for sure, but you end up with a track that you may not be able to sell because it has been modded, if you decide to...
Doo riders are better riders, so they can take a heavier machine places that I would never be able to get too on my Poo if it was 20 lbs heavier.
Thankyou Polaris for giving me an equaliizer with the Pro, Whew.:thumb:
How much does the Skidoo flag that every doo owner flys, weigh? That weight should be added too.
My Polaris flag is only ounces because it is made of carbon fibre.:patriot:
Skidoo still sucks, I saw the bumper sticker, so it must be true.
That is till I buy another one, then you cant believe everything you read. Kinda like the internet, weird.
Sounds like you Doo guys are a little nervous? I think with all the hype that polaris is creating with their advertised weights, that they are going to be pretty acurate. It wasn't too long ago that you couldn't get an advertised weight, because weight wasnt such a huge factor. Now it seems to...
Power addiction claims their 12.5 head is good for 0-3000 ft, 13.1 is 3-6000 for and the 13.6 if for 5 to 10,000 ft. All on 92 octane pump gas. I sold and installed 6 sets of 13.1 heads for the valemount area (6000 ft) last year, and not one issue unless you get some shitty fuel. If you dont...
I mounted mine on top of the can around the exhaust springs. Only problem is the food takes a while to get warm. If the top of the hood came off then you could access the Y pipe and put it where it should be. I just have to put the food on a little earlier and ride harder when i'm cooking.
Like it was said, lots of water and the roads are muddy and slippery. Even if you had a 4wd mustang it might be a bit of a challenge getting down there. And they are calling for rain all weekend. I was in cadomin today and there is lots of water, Greg river is really high, and I heard of 4 guys...
There is alot of riding out here, but not necessarily for sport quads. Not saying you cant get around, just be prepared to work your azz off. We regularily drag a sport quad or two around ( and I mean that literally) The brule dunes are an area you will enjoy, but it will get boring quick IMO.
Lots of mud out there, still some snow in the higher elevations but melting now. The bottoms are finally loosening up in the holes making then more challenging.
Just a heads up, I rode through some of the dunes staging areas after the long weekend and the garbage was disgusting. PLEASE DONT...
I have had a SXS since 2005. At first it was a little tough getting around on the narrow trails and everyone laughed at me for driving the grandpamobile. Now, as SXS's are increasingly getting more popular, the trails are getting wider and easier to negotiate, no one is laughing anymore. The...
I ran tubes in my rhino for years. Got tired of popping the bead off with the extra weight of the SXS. IMO it is a good idea for the SXS but not so necessary for the quads. I do pack a spare though.
Don't waste your time with a turbo in the mud and skegg. Alot more heat build up, and that extra power also means when you hook up on a stump in the mud, something else is going to break. I would love the extra power too, but you need to build the rest of the chassis to handle the extra power...
The ranger is the perfect machine for light trail rides and packing your gear. Hunters love em and the extra wide seat is a nice place for the young one to sit. Both my boys were brought up in their car seats in the back of a rhino. Now they are older and we have two RZR's which are an absolute...
