Gearing down as skidoo did in the 2012 is a way to take some of the load off the clutches which allows you to use more of the clutch faces there by reducing heat. Yes you will loss some topend speed on the trail but if clutched right for the gearing you should gain track speed when under heavy...

What is different with the motor? As far as I know the motors are the same. The difference is in the track, gearing and clutching!

The overall spring lengths are different depending on the start force the spring is rated for. If you wave a 160 start force spring next to a 200 start force spring the 160 spring will be shorter. Re: Official REVY Riding conditions 2011/12 We rode Frisbie for 4 days last weekend as it always gets the most snow. Griffin is lower and always gets less snow. I wouldn't think it would be worth it to go there yet.

If you have never risen Frisbie I would wise to find someone who knows the area to ride with. You can get yourself in lots of trouble there. The weather is socked in all weekend here making it very hard to see. Over 4 ft of fresh with very little base making hard to get around.
