Sorry to hear about his shoulder, did not say his was a tank, but my old 174 T Viper was brutal, my old 162 was way better handling.
No and ifs or buts, a Sidewinder extended to 174 is going to add more weight, then add Aftermarket Coil over shocks, Cr Boards... the weight keeps increasing -...
He didnt, as soon as he put the tunnel extention, 174 3" track, racers edge skid with aftermarket shock, Cr boards.. that sled is right back up there or weighs more. Plus I see his sled is for sale on kijiji - Im not being rude, but when you go 174 the weight has to increase
I had a 174 Boost...
Years of $$ priced mods and I spent all last year on a stock Sidewinder. The high HP mods sat in the trailer. 2018 will be another just like it. Well maybe one stock and one powered up....my MCX frinds have made 340 on the dyno with stock engine ;)
Safe sledding all

Re: Broken Record
Daag44 - who sounds like a broken record ? Your talkin the talk for Brp, don't work for Brp, don't have an 850, don't ride in the west......but you seem to think you should be telling the
guys that actually put down the money to buy a "game changer" sled, how to ride and to...
I had a 174 T viper and have a 15 t viper so I know a little bit about them, as for going and comparing them side by side, not going to happen anytime soon to busy trying to get as many days in working to afford more junk....Oil patch life.
Im not seeing any comment about the front suspension being moved forward.
This is taken directly from YAMAHA 2017: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE SIDEWINDER M-TX SE TURBO
"The same front and rear suspension, track and tunnel as the 2016 SR Viper M-TX returns for 2017"
