The rmk skid probably weighs less. If you want to keep the sled about the same weight, use the rmk skid and track. The track will add back quite a bit of weight.

Frankenwedge, 93 belly pan and hood, 96 chassis, 96-98 680 motor, 99 suspension, 01 chain case. 1 3/4 x 136" longer steering post and a riser. Fun sled to ride but it needs some real shocks on it. Can't seem to get my pic to post though.

I'm not sure if you have any up there, but Pier 1 imports had two different sized round glass table tops for sale. Just the replacement glass, and at a fair price. Ebay, amazon, jet, someone has got to have a simple replacement glass top you can buy.

x2 on a 700 rmk. I did have an xlt that was piped and ported and picked it up for your price range. It was a fun sled but are rings like french fries. Get a twin and enjoy the torque. If you have a smart phone and a good data plan I would suggest putting a craigslist app on your phone that...
Run the track as loose as possible. They have extrovert drivers so they have plenty of grip to drive the track. Another place where the initial drag will big down the motor.

Like cat man says #9 in the diagram. Check it, it is very small and can plug very easily. I 2nd the fuel filter too.

Fast orange, or any of the "orange" hand cleaners. Cleans great and the orange smell knocks down some of that two stroke smell too.

Great suggestions! No wet sanding on this hood, I'm just bringing the like new shine back. I may play with wet sanding and a different color on a spare hood I have that is all faded.

Anybody have a product they can suggest to polish an old hood and bring back the luster. Swirl remover or something? I've got a good hood for an Enticer that just needs to be cleaned up. I'm going to be waxing it a couple if times after I get it polished.

What about finding a track from a dead utility sled that had a 20"wide track. Didn't those have wider trail spacing. Driver down the center? Just tossing an idea out.

I have a friend looking at a possible atv for his kids and he needs some advice on the best of the cheap ones. It has to survive 4 kids. They are starting out young, girl 7, boys 5, 4, and 1. I'm sure it will get passed down so he's looking for one that is easy to get parts and will survive that...
A little short read if your looking for some insight. "what every American should know about the quaran (sp)" written by Bill Federer if I remember right.

I got it with the carb off of the sled. I had to put on a new needle and seat. The carb will need some adjusting I'm sure. The choke plunger was missing, so I put on one from a spare mikuni carb I had sitting around. The plunger seemed a little sticky. I may pull the carb off and try to get the...
Pulled the plugs on all the switches, poured some gas down a short chunk of fuel line to the carb. Floored the choke and it fired up after about 6 pulls. Ran pretty good but died out after about 30 seconds. I didn't get a chance to mess with it more then that. Makes me feel much better about...
