It will be a 1" thick cushion and will go between the mounting rails.. so there will he 3/4" of plywood at edges still
I'll have done this weekend I'll post pics..
No you have to send it in.
I dont know, but I wouldn't trust my life to a dealership doing a beacon upgrade .. it's a FREE service from them, and theres still time before riding starts...
Here is some pics of the bench.. I went between 3 steel rails, made it 32" wide.. cut the plywood that wide, I drilled tapped into the door rails and put small amount of thread locker on the bolts, 3 of them on each "arm"... they hold me up no problem and I'm 205lbs, you have to counter sink...
No, those are caliber guides. I got off amazon. Talked to Randall about them but he says it's such a small market for something like this that it doesn't make since for them to produce.
Most trailers have a flip down piece.. mine doesnt and I noticed we used it once last year in low snow the...
I'll take some pictures tonight for you.. what would you like to see exactly?.
I forgot to say a special shout out to Randall from Superclamp. He has been amazing to work with, and has even met me on weekends to get me product so I could keep going.
They are canadian, are made in Canada...
Update....
So I finished the interior lighting with under cabinet and a line down the middle, it's actually very bright fully closed. I also added "caliber edge guards" at the back door, thos should help with any carbide or runner issies with the back door.
Need to get the sleds in so I can...
They are light strips from amazon. I went with cool white as I didn't like the natural or bright... its an odd color, I really like this and it is actually quite a lot brighter inside then even the pictures show...
If you want I can PM you the actual lights from amazon.
I also bought 4 tilting...
So I've completed the floor and started some lighting, I'm super happy with how it's coming. I'm really enjoying this build!
Have a few things left but mostly just cosmetic and lipstick. Stereo and speakers and a helmet shelf.
Hope this helps someone out on some ideas on a cheaper build.
PS...
Got done alot this weekend.. sanded and redid the floor, used box liner, went and got ahold of Superclamp, they are amazing and are Canadian company.. so I'll give my money to them.. they were awesome, based in Calgary
I wasnt going to do so much, with the edge trim, but after playing around I...
So I decided to go with the 1" rigid insulation.. I know its o ly r5 value, but there was a great deal and I couldn't turn it down.. got 20sheets for $100.00, so that should do all of the walls. Under I will be spray foaming.. I also got a folding tire rack, and this week I will install that...
I didnt think of that. I am going to do that with the Tire Rack. I will fabricate something up and take pics. Thats exactly what I'm looking for, folding, carrys alot of weight, and folds up and stores away with minimal room!!
Yes this is true, but insulation in the walls wont help keep moisture out of the steel/roof.. so maybe someone can explain why that would help with moisture, and I'm just new to this and honestly dont know. I think if I put a fan on the floor vent, (down at bottom of wall) this will keep the...
I have a changer built in with a plug out the front for just that to charge batteries, and I was thinking maybe a small inverter generator, but I don't or havent done alot of multiple day trips, so havent thought about it to much.
I think that a fan vent is maybe the best option for moisture...
What do you mean condensation, sorry if I dont quite understand.
When the Heater is on the snow on sleds and gear will be melting and it will be quite moist in the trailer anyway. Would that help to get rid of it ?, or would it be better if o got a small vent fan on the lower wall vent to try...
No insulation plans yet, however I might spray foam the undercarriage. I was thinking maybe doing the walls (ceiling has foam), but wasnt sure what the beat approach would be and or if I even needed it..
It is only 20' so the furnace has it hot in approx 4 min, although I havent had it out in...
Ya I really would like another bench for sure, and have looked at some folding ones, and they are crazy priced!! Theres a place in red deer that make them for $400 or mirage have some for $300 I think. I was looking at some aluminum step ladder work platform deck at princess auto, and perhaps...
Yes you are right, 16' walls and 4' V. It's not exactly what I wanted but I got lucky and found it for a little under 5k, I was also worried that some riding areas have some tighter roads and I dont want anything that really limits what staging aread I can get too.
So, I am new to the sport. 2 seasons. And I had an open 2 place trailer that worked well, I got off Kijiji for cheap, worked on it and it turned out pretty ok. However my wife is riding with me and always complained about having to change in the snow or in a tight truck cab, so I went back on...
