Actually window mountain has the most snow in the Pass area. We were up their ski touring on Sat and Sun and up high in the trees probed 5 feet, definately shrinks as U come down. But that being said Castle mountain is reporting a 110cm base from mid mountain up and 45 at the bottom, haven't...
I think a great idea would be for all 4 clubs ( Elkford, Coreban, Crowsnest and Fernie) to get together and have Single pass for all 4 areas. ( I guess it may be hard to split AB/BC association $)
You could charge $100 bucks ( Sure that is only $25 per club).
Even though it isn't the $80 this...
Yeah I saw all of that mess FS. I know every club would like to get their $ for what they do, but a really smart idea would be to have a 4 way pass for $100/year ( Fernie, Elkford, Crowsnest and Coreban). Then each club gets $25 out of it. Or even 2 or 3 clubs if not all in for this.
Sure it...
and on a trail pass note the crowsnow riders are going to be collecting trail pass fees at the trail heads this year.....
Question?
Good, are you going to do this on weekends and at all the Trail heads. Ski Hill, York, Satoris and Atlas?
Question?
Are payments voluntary an if not...
Definately not 6 feet. But very good early riding conditions. Watch for Sippy holes in low creek beds, and open water on creeks and drainage runoffs. Supposed to get cold tonight and for a few days, hopefully that will freeze eerything up!!!!!
Lots of open water on Tuesday crossing creeks and drainages. Up high 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 feet probed in rolling hills in trees. Windy like a MOFO so lots of drifting. Snow is very unstable.
I was up their yesterday. Their is 3 feet of SETTLED snow on top of a HARD rain crust that is 5 inches thick. The snow is not bonding with that layer at all and was quite heavy. Maybe 8 inches of fresh powder as it snowed most of the day and was windier than heck by mid afternon. With warm...
No sheetka we pulled a 2013 outta the rolling hills on Sunday. Guys 1st ride , think the drive shaft cratered. Thought the guy was gonna cry all the way home He was pissed!
One of the guys on a brand new doo said h ethought their was a recall on them already (RMK 800 Pro)
How can you be a very experienced back country user ( As global reported of the 2 Calgary brothers), and not have beacons on with Very high to extreme conditions.
Sorry for the families.:nono:
Shitty and boney anywhere off of main roads and trails. I do not think they have even groomed much yet???????
Corbin area is really good for early season.
Watch out for Log haul road crossing on pipeline.
Lots of open water in creeks and you have to surf some open water off the Powereline...
Areas all around the Crow area,,, North and South are boney. main trails are Very hard packed and it is not deep in the trees and lots of hidden treasure. Corbin area is really good for early season.
Was up their yesterday, and No signs yet, but a lot of tracks going into those tailing ponds off the main trail.
STAY THE F out of their pleeeeeeeeeease.:nono:
I asked a good friend of mine ( Works at mine) to check into this and see what is happening.
He talked to his foreman, who said that they are not closing off the parking lot or chaining entry points to the area. It was already to go and a contractor had even been hired ( He did not elaborate on...
