snorkles for sure if going through any water. clutching will depend on what size of tires he is going to put on. i put 28" zillas on mine and didn't put a clutch kit in and works fine.

had pines in prince albert build me a 800xt. rad relocate, fan over ride switch, snorkled, 1" shock spacers, fuse block relocated, clutch kit, 29.5 outlaws, itp 212 rims and hand thumb warmers. this has the power steering.
i live at christopher lake and not enough snow yet. when and if it snows the trails should be good. went out cutting downed trees last month on the trails and the guys are going out again sunday. not sure how candle lake is.
i am running goodyear duro tracs for about a year now and so far so good (no studs). the tire guys at work say these tires will last longer than bfg all terain tires will. we run in the mines and the road conditions are not the best. hope that helps.
just sold my 96 580 mountain cat for 2000. it is in really good shape 4000k new top end. i think the guy got a good deal. what pisses me off is i bought a 10 rmk in the fall of 09 and in the spring the were blowing them out 3000k cheaper. now thats depeciation.
i have a 2010 rmk 800 144. only been riding the trails up at christopher lake and area and have had no problems in the past 2 winters. knock on wood i guess.
