    Insurance Broker - BC/Kootenays

Looking for suggestions for a good broker or other companies offering optional insurance for vehicles and toys in the Kootenays. I did a quick search but only found Ab folks. Thanks.

Official Cataract Creek Snowmobile Area Thread for 2020/21

While you highlighted the Cataract Creek portion it’s actually the Cataract creek PLUZ that it applies to, not the Rec area which is the camping area. So on top of paying registration to ride on crown land, a club and ASA pass, now paying a Kananaskis pass for a season. Someone in the club...

    Riding in the Slocan Valley?

I am just joking around anyways but until more of my group moves out there full time hint hint TethAir, I will be looking for honey holes more than ever. With his son in NewDenver, JungleJim in Balfour, Tethair at 9 mile and I will be somewhere between Nelson/Castlegar we will have the entire...

    Riding in the Slocan Valley?

So since I will now be a “local” does that get me a taste of one or two of these exclusive zones of yours? Lol

    Riding in the Slocan Valley?

Yeah the remote work opportunities have impacted many areas where people can now expand their living locations. Our place has sold here so it might be a long winter in the extended families basement lol.

    Riding in the Slocan Valley?

The Empire access is still there, though snowwater has restricted the front side the backside to Siwash is quite easily accessed. Toad and Red mtn are still excellent little zones with easy access from either Giveout or Blewett. For being so close to town there really isn’t a lot of people...

    Riding in the Slocan Valley?

There is a 1950’s bungalow on Pedro cr road they needs the main floor gutted for $500k lol. Nice spot though, right at the base of the FSR, quading/biking, sledding right out your back door. It has put a damper on things for us as well. It’s not often an opportunity for me to transition to the...

    Riding in the Slocan Valley?

Good luck on the property search. Inventory is at a historic low. I was ready to pull the trigger on a job opportunity out there and there is just nothing appealing in our price range even plus $100k on top of that which we would go for. Riding out there as mentioned offers many options. I...

    3M paint protection cost?

You don’t have to do all that for a truck though. The modern protection films look as good or better than the paint in some cases as some enhance the colour or flake in the paint and no more power polish or waxing to deal with. Initial paint correction would be nice but again it’s a truck...

    3M paint protection cost?

My 16 Ram has the entire front area done in Suntek, it had way more gloss factor for my Pearl paint than 3M. The bumper, fogs, headlights, all grill, front of hood, front of fenders, etc I think 14 pieces, then the a pillar, top of roof before sunroof, bottom 12” of the body/doors and the entire...

68RFE build up NAPC or Commercial Powertrain

I will call and see if I can talk to someone there direct as they don’t really mention much more than their protect kit comes with the accumulator plate and bonded separator plate. For roughly the same price I can get a Sonnex accumulator plate, billet piston kit, bonded separator plate and if...

68RFE build up NAPC or Commercial Powertrain

What do you mean when you say you did the valve body? You mean their protect kit? I still wouldn’t run over 200psi with just a valve body upgrade, protect kit or full upgrade VB. Maybe you are already aware but the weak point is still the bolt on pressure plate and there have broken bolts from...

68RFE build up NAPC or Commercial Powertrain

Looking for any feedback or experience with either NAPC or Commercial Powertrain to do a 68RFE to be relatively reliable for 500hp. Not really looking to take the truck past that with new turbos or anything. Maybe 50hp injectors later someday or not. NAPC heavy hauler 500hp gets a billet over...

How is the new Polaris Series 8, 2.75" Track

Re: How is the new Polaris Series 8, 2.75" Track Nothing official from anyone from Polaris on the driver changes or updates to the series 8. That being said, the series 8 2.75 is impressive. It doesn’t hook up and push like a 3” Polaris series 7 but it grabs a larger scoop of snow and...

2022 Polaris slash Pro or Khaos ?

That’s set up for sure. My 165 Khaos has very little transfer and only more noticeable lift climbing on more set up snow than a Pro.

2022 Polaris slash Pro or Khaos ?

If you can be a powder snob I would go with the series 8 2.75. Over the series 7 3.0”. The series 8 is 7-8 lbs lighter than the equivalent series 7 3.0”. The pitch is a big deal as it takes a bigger scoop of snow and hooks up extremely well. I would argue the 2.75 does better in deep fresh pow...

2022 Polaris slash Pro or Khaos ?

Don’t read into Turcottes video much if you are not getting a 155. He is putting his personal 155 Pro with mod steering post and suspension against a bone stock Khaos. A 165 will transfer less from being longer and the difference between a Khaos and Pro 165 is very minimal. The price...

    Why change the handlebars?

I ran one for a bit. It’s not for me, plus the sled lost 200-300 rpm because the sweep/pivot of the throttle isn’t the same. Apparently they fixed it on new models.

    Why change the handlebars?

I run after market bars, I already said that. Lol The Finger throttle gangs on FB do make me laugh though. As far as I can tell if you don’t run one you don’t ride well according to them. But each to their own.
